Daniel Billingsley: I use this cover on the switches that go to some lights that are smart bulbs. I put a Flic button over top of the cover so I can use that as a switch. It was easy to install and it keeps people from accidentally turning off the lights at their source.

jay2jay2: It gets the job done - requires a quick and constant power source. A more preferable option would involve replacing the gang with an outlet, which costs about the same as this plastic switch lock. Alternatively, you could connect the wires and use a gang cover for a better solution.

Jeffrey P. Wright: I was afraid I'd have to replace the whole switch and was dreading finding and using a solution to blocking access to the switches to my security cameras as they were installed to replace porch lights. However, I ran across this solution and it was bada-boom-bada-bing screw it on over the switch and Voila! the switch is protected. Now if someone were determined to bypass the security camera it would be easy enough to unscrew the cover... but if someone is that determined, they could just put a piece of tape over the camera. This is perfect to simply keep people from inadvertently flipping the switch which is exactly what I wanted. Love it!

Dylan Sallee: These switch locks are literally perfect - they prevent people from using the light switch (for example, for smart lightbulbs or an always-on outdoor light), and look very stylish/unobtrusive while doing so. They install super quick and easy, and we’re delivered/packed in perfect condition. One of my favorite little things I’ve found on Amazon.

My only complaint is the price, which is, imo, criminally high. This entire product is two small pieces of laser-cut acrylic and two screws worth about a penny each. You could slap a $60 piece of acrylic in the laser cutter, let it run for a minute, and you’ve got 50 of these. I wouldn’t even be mad if it was $10 for 2-3 (it’s hard to sell cheap products by mail and still be profitable), but $10 each is just obscene.

D K: I thought I was getting ones that had holes in them to reach the switch underneath but mine did not have holes. I really didn’t want the holes anyway. And if I need them I could always drill them.
