J. Timewell: I would love to have met Chief Dan. He must have been a wonderful man and so eager to share the old ways of Native Americans. So much of his ways of living would make our world better and able to heal. Lovely read.

Michael Jones: Very well written poetry. Chief Dan was a very interesting, intelligent, humorous, philosophical human being. His writing goes a long way to help with our every day lives. Well written, well bound, great fonts easy to read. I would recommend this read to all who like to reflect on their daily life.

Gemüsegarten: The Best of Chief Dan George Hancock House Publishers, USA, Kanada

Shamish: Chief Dan George wrote what his heart felt, which was love for the Earth, his fellow humans, and especially children. I will always remember what occurred when he was buried. It lingers in my heart and mind.

desertwolf: This was written by Helmut Hirnschall and Chief Dan George himself. It tells so much about the deepness of love and wisdom this great Native from Canada has for both his family and native heritage. I don't think many may know that this great Chief as more than an actor, but he was a great leader and champion of his people, the Coast Salish Band from Vancover Canada. This particular book tells his life story from birth to death, telling how he felt about life and death. There are many great words of wisdom about our Great Mother Earth, children, parents, life, our Elders, courage, understanding of all in our world, and MUCH more. It's trully an amazing book with great depth of thought and spirit, so whether you may have any Native blood in you or not, just a great love of mankind and the our earth please read this and be inspired by the words of this man.

Robert Campion: Beautiful. Profound. Nostalgic. Elegiac. I like this poetry.
I shared the following two lines with my elderly father. I'm not a young myself anymore, so we can both relate to this:
The sun makes the young move fast
And slows us old people down.
