But they had some fleas on them and some in the house nothing crazy but I used this and it was almost instant. They stopped itching and the ointment didn’t burn them or take their hair off like I was worried about. Good product and good price. I haven’t had to re dose in a few months now but I will purchase again.

Anonymous: I was using a different brand of cat flea medicine, but they've been out of stock for months. I asked my cat group on FB what they recommended, and an overwhelming response was this flea medication. My cats started itching and i saw a few black dots of flea poop where they laid, so i knew i needed to administered flea meds asap. I bought this and applied to my 2 cats. My one cat had absolutely no problem w this. He stopped itching and ate, drank and went to the litter box, even played a bit. My other cat was the one who was itching the most, but after putting the medication on him, he ate, drank and went to the litter as well. I did check where he was itching (because he did itch a few times after the med was on him) and didn't see any redness, swelling or irritation. He was sitting behind me and a flea jumped on me, like he was abandoning ship. I killed it. I went over the area w a sticky roller, and only collected 2 pieces of flea poop. My cat is still itching where he's been itching, but I think it's just irritation, that should go down since the fleas are gone. I don't believe they were loaded w fleas, maybe just a few, since this just started a few days ago. So im positive...

koreycabra: I live in the south which means insects can be an issue even if you are clean and diligent. They seek water and get into your home-- and they've become immune to products like Frontline. Cherestin is the only product that has worked for me but-- 1) It is very expensive 2) I wish they sold in 4 packs or even a 2 pack, I have a cat family that doesn't fit into the 1 or 6 pack without paying a lot of extra money. But this product was easy to apply and killed all the adult fleas. Eventually there will be no more infestation, but you must treat for several months to insure all the population has declined.

Okie CatFan: The last of my previous group of cats was put down at the end of March. I had used Vectra on Tina with great success. At the end of April, I took in one of the feral cats who lives at our apartment community. She had just given birth to two kittens, one of which died the next day. The little girl survived and has grown to be bigger than her mother at 5-1/2 months of age.
Either the mother had some fleas when she moved in or I tracked some in from outside. By the time kitten Daisy was three months old, both of them were scratching with fleas. Info online said not to do flea treatment until the kitten was fully weaned. That happened when she was 4 months old. I got out the Vectra and applied it to both girls. It was a failure much to my surprise and disappointment.
I knew I had to wait to let the Vectra work out of their systems. I bought some Cap Action and gave that. It worked at killing the fleas, but they slowly returned. After doing a lot or customer review readings on Amazon, I selected Cheristin to try next.
Saturday evening, I gave both a dose of Cap Action to knock down the fleas making the girls more comfortable and easier to handle. Yesterday, I put...

Rev: Best flea control available, kills within hours. Applicators however are complete garbage. You will spend hours trying to twist and open them - they never open. All had to have the tops cut off with pliers to use. Beware
