ChefsGrade Diecast Aluminium Egg Slicer - Light Grey Finish for Easy Slicing

amantae: I bought one of these eight years ago. Instead of using a knife, I found this much more easy for mushrooms. Easier than cranking up the food processor slicer, although I would do that if I had to—volume. Mushrooms are surprisingly tough. Also, you want it to slice an egg clean and smooth, which requires quality finesse. This unit came through. I need a new one—the piano strings are shot—and, like anything else, I hope the new unit is as good as the old one. I would recommend. At the price, eight years seem reasonable. But I still have knives and know how to use them.

John in Reno: Unlike most other egg slicers, this one isn't garbage. It is solid, well built, and easy to clean. It could be a bit better double slicing an egg for egg salad, but that's just picking nits.

California Royer: Just got it a couple of days ago so haven't had a chance to try all the things advertised but the heft and strength of this utensil will take on any reasonable item. Eggs, of course, are easy but it handled mushrooms with no trouble. I spent more than I usually would for an egg slicer.......??? Maybe that's why I was always buying cheap egg slicers?

Amazon Customer: Regular size eggs work great. Extra large occasionally do not fit the entire area for the egg to be sliced. Overcame the problem by slicing the egg longwise first.

Steven Martin: Posting as 5 stars for Customer Service by Superior Innovations. This is a good quality wire type slicer I purchased for my wife. Unfortunately, one of the pins that holds the two sections of the slicer together came out and the slicer came apart. Pins would not stay in. Looked like a manufacturing defect with the pins. I emailed Superior Innovations via Amazon. I had a reply very quickly, within the hour I believe, with an offer to send a replacement under the "satisfaction guaranteed" policy. I received a notice just a short while later that the replacement had been shipped. Outstanding and prompt customer care and service. Hey bad items can get through occasionally. What the vendor/seller can control is customer service and satisfaction. My experience is that you can certainly count on Superior Innovations to provide that. Top notch customer care. Thank you!
