Frieda M: When an armadillo digs a hole in my garden area, I get out the Cayenne and minced garlic. Within 2-3 applications, armadillo has moved on to less spicy grounds. It has worked over 2 years and 3 armadillos. Consider it an ‘off label’ fix!

cj douglas: Many of my neighbors let their dogs run loose, and they poop in my yard. Other neighbors walk their dogs on leashes, and let them poop in my yard, and dont pick it up. Talking to the neighbors did not work, and the ones walking the dogs on leashes said that the dogs pooping in my yard was no big deal. Seriously. So I bought this Cayenne pepper, and mixed it 50\50 with diatomaceous earth and added a couple tablespoons of black pepper. then put it back in the same shaker, and sprinkled it all over my yard. Then a couple feet out from where the pepper powder was I sprinkled vinegar. So when the dogs came up, smelled vinegar, and continued into the yard, they got a sniff if the pepper. They would start sneezing and leave the yard. The reason for the vinegar was to give the dogs warning, So after a couple of time they learned if they smelled vinegar, to stay back and so were trained to stay out of the yard, It took a couple weeks, but now my yard it poo free. I do reapply it when a new dog comes comes in the neighborhood. Another bonus was the people who walked the dogs on leashes saw what I was doing, and asked about it, and I explained the problem, about the vinegar being a warning...

Alexander L.: I go through this stuff like crazy and use it in as much food as I can. Especially now during the summer months, I'm constantly grilling different meats outside: chicken breasts, lamb, tuna steaks, you name it. This cayenne pepper goes great on them all. I used to buy those little glass containers of cayenne pepper from the grocery store for $5-$6 dollars a pop. They'd be empty in a week, definitely not worth the money for those. This powder is clean and has a great spicy taste. This thing is big too, as tall as those 1 liter glass bottles used for mineral water and such.

If I had to list a negative it would be that the holes used to sprinkle the powder out sometimes clog up with powder. Don't get me wrong, the holes are pretty big and do the job fine. But if you've worked with cayenne pepper before then you know it has a tendency to get stuck when you're trying to pour it out of the container. However, this certainly isn't the fault of the pepper itself and is a minor annoyance at worst. Since the container is plastic, you can just squeeze it slightly to force the powder out when it gets stuck. Or just tap the container to remove the blockage.
