DJjHazey: I was actually looking for a towel that wouldn't take up much space in my gym bag when I stumbled upon this listing. I saw in the comments people were taking this towel camping, so I figured if it's good enough for the wilderness, it's good enough for a pool.
When it came I was intrigued by the almost complete lack of pile. I had a couple doubts, but after using it in the gym today, it's PERFECT. Soaked up all the water quickly, takes up next to no space in my bag... This one is a no brainier. Buy it!
P.s. I got the pink color and it is more muted in person.

Maureen Hart: I just bought a second one of these towels after using one successfully on a trip to Italy. They are light and come in a bag that slips right into my suitcase. Of course, it is microfiber, so it is not as absorbent at terrycloth towels, but it did the job!

MMJ: Bought it in the pink, which is super vibrant and cute. Brought it on a trip to the jungle, where I was getting rained on multiple times a day, and taking swims in between. I appreciate that there is an elastic to keep it nicely folded, or to hang. It feels soft, reminds me of flannel. People who reviewed disliking the way the towel feels/absorbs seem to expect the experience to be exactly like a typical towel would provide. The texture is very different. I could see it feeling strange to rub across the skin, if that is how you are used to toweling off. I don't like to rub because I have sensitive skin and the friction tends to irritate, just touching the towel to the skin to soak up water is enough. So it is fine for me. Cozy to wrap up in, I didn't feel chilly when I was damp. It dries out quickly, which is a bonus for travel use. Reminds me of the towels we all had in our bags back when I was a youth on the swim team. I want a bigger square one please!
