Begoña: Un libro con todos los detalles del arte de la película. En inglés. A mi hija le encantan estos libros y el que estén en inglés le obliga a leer en ese idioma. Son muy completos y caerán más de otros títulos.

Corey J. Bramlett: I like all the art books. We even used this to make a Halloween costume, or at least the starts of one.
For us, the Art of books are just good to have along with the movie. If you have ever wondered something about a movie or why something was done, these books might shed the light on it.

Frozen is a great book. From taking real life to cartoon. storyboards that walk through parts of the film (if they would add voice to the book of the person walking through the sequence you would be there in that room feeling like you were a part of the pitch). Designs and designs of the characters. For me this is like walking through the animation studio area in Florida only you have it to take home. These books make you want to take a tour of animation in California, or really any animation studio.

I have gone through animation tutorials with Jin kim on youtube. But you really have to see his designs on the trolls (page 116) just to see what is shown for character creations. All of them unique and have personality in their one shots. Contrast those with Bill Schwab's on the next page and you get a feel of how far the range is in creating. Personally I think I would have liked...

J. Smith: With so many of these "The Art of" books done for various animated movies, there is much to study and examine, and hopefully, some of it will stick. Charles Solomon has done another excellent book, exploring animation, and this one does a great job in explaining Disney's animation process.

Great educational tidbits about Norwegian culture, especially on Arrendale. Some beautiful Scandinavian art is presented. Loved the beautiful shawls and cloaks that Elsa and Anna wore throughout the film.

Highlights:

* Cory Loftis' magnificent family portrait that really sums up the family dynamic between the two sisters.
* Beautiful ice castle/palaces by James Finch.
* Jim Finn's winter scenes with Anna and Kristoff on pages 22-3 and 82-3.
* Lisa Keene's work throughout the text.
* Dean Wellins give a trace of the evil Elsa in her drawings. These pieces were done when Elsa was in the consideration for going evil. It really shows how the movie could have have gone if the producers had gone in that direction. So much emotion conveyed in these pictures. Maybe they should have kept Elsa "bad," She has a wonderful, slightly mischievous smile in her early...

Kate Mergener: *Slight Movie Spoilers* A lovely compacted art book made up for this Disney movie. It included many of the finalized drawings and some that showed the gradual process of making the characters into the ones portrayed on the movie screen. I loved seeing Elsa go from a classic Disney villainess to more of a misunderstood protagonist. Several of this movie's characters carry that "conceal" of their own feelings or actual intentions. Watching where the characters start roughly on paper and become polished is always something I enjoy to see done. I wish Hans had more breakdown in his character near the end too. Still, I'm always floored at the details they make to capture bits of realism. Then there are also certain moments of suspended disbelief too (a very tough balancing act). Things like adding Scandinavian motifs in the architecture and the Rosemaling in decorations. Though I wish they had shown even more concept art and other scenes that were edited out. Still, a lovely turn making this episodic fairy tale into a story about these sisters' endearing connection.
