customer: worked great right out of the box after putting oil in it

I’m at 3,500 feet and am running on propane. The generator is running my 13.5K BTU Dometic Brisk Air II fine after installing the Microair 304 soft start. It’s 91 degrees outside and after about 2 hours it’s finally down to around 72 degrees. With the microair controller you get a forced 3 minute cool down before it will let your AC compressor turn back on. (Mine is running around 3:12-3:20 in cool down). Before installing the microair the compressor would only be off for maybe 60 seconds between cycles. Without the microair the generator wouldn’t even run it at at all near sea level so I guess reduced AC cooling speed is the trade off...
The good news is that even at 3,500 feet and on propane I was able to run the TV, AC, lights, battery charger and microwave simultaneously and the generator didn’t even complain... (again with the addition of a soft start system for the AC)
I’m happy enough with the compromise to bump it up to 4 stars but it’s still noisy and a little unsafe since it won’t let you shutdown the generator but turning the switch off and you have to wait for all the fuel pressure in your supply line to drain before...

Alan D Brown: Showed very quick. Compact and the sound level is very respectable. I purchased this for my RV and as back up power for my house. It works great for both.

Amazon Customer: I was leary at first about buying this product but after reading all the reviews, decided to take the plunge. Works as described if not better. The attraction was that it ran on propane and it runs like a charm. No more gas messes. Can't wait to have it hooked to my camper next outing.

Steph: Literally cant say anything bad about this unit!!! Price is great, shipping was fast, Runs great, fairly light weight and quiet, does what i need it to do and the propane option is awsome.
I have delt with champion in the past for service with another generator i had before and there customer service is really amazing, honestly companys these days with good customer service is very rare, and its awsome to see how champion takes pride in there products and service, and have extremely competitive prices.

Luc G.: Works just like it's supposed to. It a bit on the heavy side, good thing it has wheels. It's very quiet, able to have a conversation standing next to it while it's running. Only flaw so far, there's no way to lock it with a cable or chain other than through the plastic handle.

Ron S.: This was purchased for emergency power only so an expensive industrial rated (24-7 operation week after week) was not necessary. This generator is well built for what it is, but do not "read in" anything extra. There are several shortcomings. The first is the ALARMING risk of fire from the unit! It warns over and over in the instructions to KEEP 5 FEET DISTANCE FROM EVERYTHING FLAMMABLE, which I am guessing is to keep the RV, house, garage, shed, wherever it is located, from burning to the ground when the generator burns up. (All other generators I considered did not have this level of space required) The entire generator is housed in plastic. Flammable plastic, which probably is the reason for the fire hazard. However I think the hazard is not that bad if the unit is run on propane instead of gasoline. (this is advisable for many reasons of course!)
The generator is not a 3kw generator. It will put out 3kw but it is like pushing the gas pedal of your car all the way down. It is running all out wide open. How long it will last in that condition is questionable. The engine wears terribly, which is indicated by the 100 hour oil change period. That's only about 4 days continuous...
