PAT: Plenty of binoculars can surprise you with good optics at low prices and Celestron is known for giving good value, but with the Trailseeker it’s actually blasting past “good for the money” to simply “outstanding at any price”. I also appreciate that they’re built with magnesium alloy. You can feel it. They’ve become my favourite bins outside of alpha models… and because the price is reasonable they go into situations where I’d be worried to damage my best optics.

Tom: I really liked these binoculars. Build quality is excellent. For non ED glass the CA is controlled very well. I experienced peripheral black outs or kidney bean effect as I like to have the eye cups pushed close to my eyes. The Celestron trailseeker’s eye cups, it would appear, did not extend far enough for me personally. Optically however these are excellent - bright clear and sharp image with minimal CA.

Amazonoid: Also note this 10x32 has only 14mm eye-relief so you aren't going to be seeing much wearing glasses.
Focuses anticlockwise to infinity.
I like it but I can see when comparing the optics to some of my other binoculars in my little collection that this 10x32 pretty budget Celestron perhaps understandably possesses neither high transmission nor eye popping contrast unlike my Athlon Midas 10x25 which can live happily in terms of optical ability with my overly expensive Zeiss 8x25 Victory or Leica 8x20 Ultravid.
This non-ED Trailseeker does have surprisingly good lack of edge purple fringing in most circumstances, glare does not seem a great issue and the colour rendition is surprisingly rich. I also like the compact body and excellent build on this example I received so thankyou Chinese technicians for doing that so well.
Could do with a more comfortable neck strap and I don't need the harness thing provided so haven't even looked at that. The case isn't to bad in fact a step up from the most basic. The binocular actually reminds me some of a 10x32 Leica Ultravid HD I used to own as it seems so similarly solid but the Leica didn't even have a smooth focus! I...

Rick Evans: The binoculars are nice, medium size, great weight, attractive, well built and are absolutely optically wonderful. The view is so bright and sharp and full. I have no issues with being steady handed or with a narrow depth of field (they don't feel narrow at all). I'm so glad I got the 10x42s and not the 8x42s. They're kinda perfect. Oh, the lens caps are a little weak. Those could be better, but who cares.

reader: These are well made binoculars that would be fine for use on bringing objects closer and into focus on a number of activities. However, if you want to use them for gazing at the stars/planets with any intensity, you may want to consider something more powerful. I bought them for this purpose and they really don't change what you're looking at except to make them brighter, with the exception of the moon. I returned them realizing that a more powerful pair would be needed or an efficient telescope.

Gianni Matteucci: I have used this binocular recently for birdwatching. The view was clear and crisp, comparable to another far more expensive binocular. I like very much its compactness and light weight. It is ideal for travel. The only thing I disliked was that the instructions were only in chinese ... but few people read them anyway and it was easy to assemble the strap. Enjoy!

Gadgeteer1066: I do not know much about binoculars but I wanted a reasonable pair for use on my vacation - no special purpose, general touristy things. I read up on things such as magnification (7x, 8x, 10x and so on) and decided that 8x would be right for me, giving me a decent magnification, a reasonable field of view and not too much difficulty in keeping the image of what I was looking at steady and in view. I looked at lens sizes and whilst I would love to have gone bigger, the extra weight and dimensions seemed to detract more than the bigger lenses seemed to offer. That is how I ended up picking 8x32 from the range.
I did a lot of comparative research on brands using the internet and everything kept steering me back towards Celestron, whose name I recognised from telescopes. Unfortunately, at the time of buying I was in a part of New England that did not seem to have any stockists. I visited a few stores and tried out a whole range of other makes such as Vanguard, Vortex, Nikon and even Swarovski before deciding to stick with my research and go for the unseen Celestron.
I am happy to report that I am more than happy with my decision. They are as compact as any I looked at,...

James Schwartz: As an amateur astronomer I have long been aware of Celestron's history of (mostly) excellent optical equipment. As a result, when my wife and I first began birding about 20 years ago we purchased two pairs of Celestron 7 X 50 binoculars for about $50 each. That was not a totally "cheap" bino at that time. We were very happy with them and they lasted about 5 or 6 years. Various mechanical problems, mostly arising after we dropped them or handled them carelessly, finally made them difficult to use. The optical quality was always excellent. Since then we have gone through various other binoculars by many manufacturers at prices from $100 to $300. Because we do not always take the best care of our binos, we have never purchased any high end $2500 Leicas or Swarovskis.
I recently saw the need for a 10 power binocular so my aging eyes could get up a little closer to the birds. Trusting to Celestron's reputation, as well as many good experiences with their products, (and the recent rebate), I decided on these reasonably priced Celestron Trailseekers. I have already had them out a number of times and am quite happy with their performance. The field of view for a 10X binocular is...
