It definitely smells like cedar, which I like, and it can be strong if your not a fan. It sprays on easily and I spray my hands and rub it on my dogs more than just straight spraying…otherwise they sneeze from the strong scent. It seems to work for mosquitoes, but not so sure on the black flies/no see ums, as they still are on the attack. We are in a very bad area for ticks so just using this alone is definitely not enough protection. We had to spray Permethrin around our property, but I do like that this is safe for me and the dogs to use. The company is great and sent me a whole new kit as the first kit was damaged and leaking during shipment.

It worked amazingly! The scent is pleasing and even the pickiest children liked it . I and my daughters are normally covered in mosquito bites just walking from the house to the car. We spent 3 days camping in MI and only a couple of bites due to our forgetting to reply after swimming. We also had zero ticks! The property had tons of ticks and mosquito as the others we were camping with were covered. They switched to our Cedarcide on day two and could not believe the difference from their name brand feet products. Have already restocked and will keep on hand!

We did notice a DRASTIC reduction in the number of ticks on our furry off-leash woods hiker. So it works great.
The package included medium, small, and TEENY spray bottles. The teeny bottle was used up in about 2 uses on our average-sized Siberian Husky. The medium bottle spray nozzle is powerful, and has both stream and spray settings. Not sure under what situation you'd use the stream, and the spray is so wide and so powerful, you end up with big patches of wasted product on the ground when spraying the dog's legs.

Our GSD puppy was getting around 3-4 ticks embedded in her coat a day! We were desperate to find something. I found this product with only one review but thought I would try it. So glad I did as it"s down to one or two tick a week and they have not attached due to disliking the cedar spray on her coat. We spray a little in our hands and lightly rub through her coat 2-3 times per week and the smell is really nice. We are so happy with this product and would absolutely urge people to use it instead of the toxic pesticides which we are given with no thought to the damage it causes to our dogs immune systems. This is an honest opinion given to a fabulous product. Made in the USA is the cherry on top!!!
