KL: The larger spoon-shaped scoop with larger circular openings is needed for scooping through the wood pellet style of cat litter. The larger circular openings allow un-clumped wood pellets to fall through. However, the large and deeper spoon shape means I'm often scooping up too much litter and it takes a longer time to shake out the un-clumped pellets to reveal the items I want to throw away, so I get annoyed with the longer time and sometimes throw away more wood pellet than is necessary. I need to remind myself to dig around looking for chunks to scoop up rather than just scooping a full load into the large spoon to shake more out.

Tricia: I know there is ‘official’ cat pine litter from cat brands, but our go-to for years has been the pine stall pellets from Tractor Supply (40 pound bag for $7). We found out about using Tractor Supply pellets from several cat shelters who use them exclusively.
This has been the first scoop we’ve found, however, that has holes large enough for the pine pellets to easily fall through but small enough to get all the poop. I’m not sure how durable it will be in the long run, since it’s plastic - I would buy it again IN A MINUTE if it came in metal. But, in lieu of that, this plastic one works GREAT!

Jessy B: No photos because no one needs to see an image of this candy colored scoop going panning for gold in my cats' litterboxes. However - just know that it works great if you use Okocat - we use the traditional (blue box) and the super soft (pink box) for our cats - and it's great to have an environmentally friendly litter that you can scoop. The wet bits will build up on the scoop over time. I just wait until it's totally dry and hit it against the top of the litter genie a bunch of times until it will fall off. I'm sure you could clean it if you wanted, but I'd rather bang it off and pretend it doesn't exist until the next time I need to scoop.

Casper & Boo: wow, the rewierers were not kidding when they said this thing was huge!! i thought it could not be any bigger than the durascoop that i thought was huge, i was wrong..
The handle is a little on wide side for my small size hand and it is kinda making my fingers cramp up but, i just got it so perhaps i will get use to it eventually.. suprisingly, this scooper is very light weight, i like that very much since my durascoop is heavier. The holes are pretty big and why i bought this addon scoop to try out, the awesome fresh' purr crystal deodirizers i add to our litter go right through the holes and won't be wasted anymore..
My only problem with this scoop is the handle end, i guess it is meant to be stood up on it but, most of us probably don't stand our scoopers up so i hate it because when i rake the litter it jabs into my wrist area and it gets irratating.. going to see if hubby can cut that off, if so i will end up really liking this; heavy duty plastic scoop, that scrapes the occasional stuck on pee great, sifts so quickly (without even having to shake scoop back and forth!!) that it cut my litter cleaning time in half and only costed under $2.50 as an addon item, so...
