Germax: Good quality item but it was too deep for my wall. It requires quite a big cutout so better make sure it will work in the location.

courtney eichelberger: The tabs are deep enough for 5/8” Sheetrock, but def not for 3/8” Sheetrock over beadboard or tongue and groove in older homes. The tabs are not the strongest, so the box may become loose after some time especially as switch/outlet setup

Ty Van Slooten: In this wonderful time of supply issues and run away inflation, this was the only place I could find this box. I went to multiple Lowes and Home Depots which had none. The price is a bit extreme, but did the job.

Simon S.: I wanted to separate my exhaust fan light to work independently of the fan so I needed to remove the existing 2 gang and replace it with this box. Since I didn’t want to open the wall up this box offers an option to retro-fit.
Tips:
Know which direction your existing box is attached to the stud so you make your expansion cut to fit the new 3 gang box in the right side (opposite the stud that the old one is attached to.
The remove the old box I used dewalt oscillating tool with a small blade to carefully cut up the box in the call into manageable pieces and remove with minimal damage to the existing drywall.
I used the same oscillating tool to them cut out the extra bit of drywall I traced out to accommodate the wider 3 gang. Take your time with this and you won’t need to do any drywall work.
Open up the knock outs first before you install, it will be easier now than when you have it installed.

Bubonic: Oh my God your light switches won’t know what hit them. This is basically like the Taj Mahal for an old work light switch. Forget about all of those old metal boxes to get nailed into studs in her annoying as hell to cover up. This is a nice New Age plastic little house for your installed light switches. You’ll love it, they’ll love it.
