TKTK: While this is promoted for mountain biking, I have been using it for the past 6 months for running and it works well. I like the fact that it easily holds a larger phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) and has plenty of room for other items like keys and gels. The key clip and inner mesh pockets help keep things like keys from moving around in the bag while running. The cap on the bottle, presumably to keep dirt out while mountain biking, is also nice for trail running, beach running, and even protecting the mouth piece if you put in an outside pocket of a pack and slide it under the seat on an airplane.

Dave of the Great Northwest:
First off, the bag is excellent. It looks well made and is comfortable to wear. I am able to fit my Wera tool kit in the outer pocket, and my keys, wallet, and phone in the larger inner pocket. Loaded as described, I can close each compartment without straining the zippers. The Dirt Series Podium water bottle that it comes with is a step above the average bottle and easy to use.
I am deducting one star, because the bag was sold as new, but it was obviously a return. When the bag was delivered, I gave kudos to CamelBak for the minimalist packaging (a clear plastic bag). Upon removing the bag from the packaging I noted the lack of hang-tags and cards one normally expects to find included with a new item. Once I opened the main compartment of the bag I knew I wasn't holding a new item because previous owner had left loose change in the bag. And while I am thankful for the surprise 55 cent rebate, I'm not keen on the idea of using a water bottle that could have been used by someone else (the water bottle was not separately packaged).
I'm keeping the set, the bag is in excellent condition and I heavily washed the bottle. If I returned it, it would likely...

deborah beeson: Wanted a hydration option when running shirtless. Well made, sturdy construction. Bottle is held in tight, can be a little difficult to get back in. Pocket is quite large, will fit any phone with room to spare. For anyone looking to conceal carry, I was able to fit up to a holstered XDM 3.8 9mm.

Kim: I’ve used this pack a couple of times for hiking and mountain biking (trail - blue and black runs). I like to travel light when I plan on being out for 3-4 hours and this was the perfect pack for me for a second water bottle (I carry one water bottle on my bike). Outer pocket fit my iPhone 14 in its case, inner pocket had lots of room for a few gels, a bar and CO2 inflator with room to spare (could probably fit a mini tool too but I have one in my steerer tube).

Alan M. Birnbaum:
I bought this CamelBak hydration belt, not for use on a mountain bike, but for local fitness walks of an hour or so, as my Central California area can get quite warm over the summer even during early morning hours. I think that its 21 ounce bottle should suffice for walks of up to 5 miles over an hour and a half.
The bottle supplied has very secure open-close mechanism and a protective cap. The main compartment readily holds my iPhone 13 Pro, in a protective case, which my prior hydration belt would not hold.
While one earlier reviewer suggested that this hydration belt would not work for anyone with a waist larger than 36 inches, my belt size is alas 40, and this hydration belt expands easily to accommodate that and in fact, probably would be adequate for up to 44 inches.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer a model with a safety, yellow color.
I would caution that for dayhikes of a half day, or so, one needs a larger amount of water, so a larger belt bag or a small backpack, holding two bottles would be preferred, also to handle additional equipment not needed simply for local workouts.

Client d'Amazon:
Yes it hold pretty good and you have enough space for a tire, tool , food and a map.
It is a must ! The belt is o.k for my 32 inch waist but forget it if you are fat or xl in size.

Magster:
EDIT: still loving my pack!! Unfortunately I lost the mud cap for the bottle but I saw that CamelBAK Sells replacement caps. I ended up just swapping it out for a small glass bottle just because I prefer the taste and I use this pack for long walks so not likely to break. Would love to have this pack in that beautiful red too.
Amazing pack. Everything I was looking for and more. Lightweight, padded, great quality, stylish, and yet with enough space to pack important essentials. It’s very comfortable and lightweight around my waist. I really like the extra zip pocket in the front for smaller items like keys. It’s got loops on both the sides to reinforce them which just show the level of attention to detail. I take it on long strolls. Very happy with my purchase and considering purchasing the red one too.
