The CamelBak Mil-Tac HydroBak Hydration Pack is the perfect choice for any outdoor enthusiast. It features a 1.5L / 50 oz capacity and is built with a closure and strap type that is designed for optimal security and comfort. It is also highly durable, making it a great value for money. Visit the CamelBak Store to find the best Hydration Packs for your needs. Frederik Graf: Certainly the best running gear/gadget I have ever bought. It is comfortable to wear and easy to use while on the run. It holds 1,5l of fluids - I recommend using water only because it is a lot easier to clean as you can just rinse it, let it dry and rinse it again before using it again and it cannot go mouldy - which is enough for a 2h run, at least for me. If you go for a longer run (I run marathon distances in training), you would need to re-fill it somewhere or buy a larger hydration pack. It also has a small compartment for keys, smartphones or the odd energybar, but it doesn't hold any more than that really. I would love for that to be the case (e.g. to store a lightweight rain jacket) but I knew from the beginning that it didn't fit so I obviously can't (and won't!) complain about it. The only drawback is that it starts to smell quite quickly as you tend to sweat a lot at the upper back where you wear your camelbak. If you remove the bladder, you can, however, easily wash the hydro pack in the washing machine.
Overall, it's brilliant! It's not too expensive and will definitely be worth every penny. I couldn't do without it!

R. Moreno Jr.: OK, here's the deal on this lil baby. (Follow along now, children).
I have a few 3-liter bladders. But I needed a sleek, low-profile one for the longer (9+ mile) OCR races. (Spartan Races, Tough Mudders, etc).
I love the reliability of Camelback bladders. (The military-type ones with the ON/OFF switches near the bite valves). But I was also looking for a very streamlined, minimalistic, aerodynamic carrier, that would not take-up any more space on my back than needed.
I saw another Camelback bladder (the 2L Classic)...but it was very water bladder specific. The carrier lid in the back of the carrier was held closed by wrapping the lid over the plastic of the Antidote water bladder opening. And even the carrier had a large hole for the Antedote water bladder opening to protrude from, so you could refill it without removing the water bladder.
First-off: The water bladder was a bit too large. I do not want to be carrying 2L 's on my back when running. I just want the bare minimum. (No...I will not "only partially fill the water bladder").
Secondly: I am not a big fan of the new Camelbak Antedote water bladder. And if I wanted to use a different water...

jaredsk00: This thing is absolutely perfect for running. This doesn't move around a lot on my back as the chest strap keeps it in place. Now, I have only run for about 3-5 miles at a time with this but so far it's been awesome. I love that it's all black and low profile. The pouch in the back is perfect for my phone or possibly keys if you need it.
As far as the complaint that some have about the length of the tube being too long, I think that it's just fine. If you don't want it too long you just have to wrap it up another time n the pack, but honestly I left it almost all the way out so that it hung at my waist and I barely noticed it was there. Because the mouthpiece and tubing is just the right amount of weight it doesn't bounce around everywhere but stays in the same place for the most part. I'm still feeling it out if I like it all the way out versus all the way up to the clip on the shoulder strap but time will tell.
I haven't filled up the entire 50oz bladder but I usually fill it up about 50-75% of the way up. The water stayed cold for the entire 30-45 minute runs that I've done. I could barely hear the water moving around in there so that was a plus. Overall I...

Lois Briant: This hydration pack is brilliant. I read a lot of reviews of this and other brands and decided on this one.
I am female, 5ft 3inches and fairly petite therefore I have narrow shoulders, and my initial concern that the pack wouldn't stay on my shoulders, but would slip off, didn't materialise. Somehow the pack stays put. It also doesn't bounce around too much when you're running. My advice would be to fill it, then carefully squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing it. This way you don't hear too much sloshing around from the water.
I use it on my 5+ mile runs and it's perfect. I have used it on over 10 mile runs and when all you need is a sip of water here and there, it's ideal great.

Joe Walters: I was pleasantly surprised by the Hyrdobak. As the entry point for hydration systems I thought it would be barely adequate for the job but it is a fantastic and well crafted item. I took it on a trail half marathon and also on a 30 mile bike ride and it was more than enough to quench my thirst for a few hours hard effort or more if you are taking it easy on it.
It's really easy to fill and maintain (I would recommend bicarb of soda to clean it and keep the bladder in the freezer when not in use to stop any germs), the fact it doesn't have a cross strap is something that concerned me at first but actually as long as you turn it upside down and suck all the air out of the bladder first it won't slap around and stays firmly on your shoulders.
The teat is very easy to use and doesn't take long to work out how to bite and suck at the same time, it also looks very well built so wear shouldn't be a major issue for a while, but you can replace the teat easily enough.
There is only one downside and it's an odd one. Those straps do tend to unravel if you are working out particularly hard and sweat a lot so they work loose. It takes a good few hours to start but the...

Tonski: Bought this for use on long runs during marathon training and it works really well. 1.5L is more than enough water and you can fit 4 gels into the pocket. I can get the gels out without stopping but it could be made easier and there is no room for anything else like keys so a seperate pocket would have been nice. There is also no chest strap so the fit across the chest isn't ideal but overall im happy with the product. As mentioned earlier by a few people make sure you turn the pack upside down and suck out the excess air otherwise the water will slosh around when you run.

Mark D: This pack .. Okay... Let's start at the beginning.. I never ride my Motorcycle without Full Armor, Jacket, Pants, Helmet, Gloves, and - as well vented as my "summer gear" are - I ride a bike in Arizona where temperatures in the summer can get .. "Substantial".. So I Needed access (while in motion) to ample water supply on my (usually) 250+ mile jaunts.. Hence.. I brought the Camelbak HydroBak 50 oz Hydration Pack.
The "Bad", So Far?... My use of the word "Hence".. I Apologize :o/..
But, The "Cons"... (Of Using this Pack)
No Storage.. But, then with the crafty use of Saddlebags - Your Pockets - On a Bike .. Really?? Who Needs "Storage"?
The weight.. It's negligible for what it provides.. When full, you can tell it's on your back over long periods of time, but if you weren't wearing it, you would be thirsty, which would be a greater discomfort. Now, don't get me wrong, The discomfort of having this pack on when riding hundreds of miles is not bad.. But .. :o) ..Riding without it on is like a breath of fresh air.. :o)
Size... Now.. If there was one thing that bothers me a little - it's that being a smaller fella - riding on a bike fitted with a...
