I normally use Oatly barista milk for my coffee beverages but I was looking to try a nut based milk instead and gave this a shot. I've had other varieties of Califia Farms stuff before and it wasn't bad so I thought I'd try this. To be 100% honest, it smells and tastes like play-doh to me. It's very low calorie so that's a plus but I just can't get over the taste. I didn't even bother to put it in a coffee beverage so I can't comment on how well it foams. Maybe the version with some sugar added is better? I'll probably just be sticking with my Oatly for now...

I absolutely love this unsweetened almond barista blend milk. Because of COVID my daily coffee breaks with co-workers came to a crashing end. So I decided to take my love for coffee and become a "at home" barista making my own specialty coffee drink favorites. I am also lactose intolerant, so when I came across this brand with their barista line I had to try it. Not disappointed at all!
I know there are mixed reviews because some believed this to be a "sweet" creamer dairy alternative and its not. Its a barista almond milk blend, very different and specifically made to steam/foam. You still need to add sweeter to your level of taste just like you would at any coffee shop. That's why I recommend this product because you control the level of sweetness and it steams extremely well. The first drink I made was a double short expresso with the steamed barista blend and I added a teaspoon of agave to the milk before steaming. OMG!!! Soooo freakin delicious!
