They work great. They are small enough to carry in a vehicle glove compartment or even in a larger purse. It is very easy and quick to just pick them up to view a bird or wildlife and not have to worry about trying to focus. The lenses are very clear and presents a nice sharp image. They are very well made and of very good quality. People should understand that if the object is too close they will not focus correctly. It is feature of many scopes and particularly spotting scopes, that there is a minimum distance for focusing. It is also a nice little feature that you can change the inserts to a different color. I was very impressed, and I feel they are a very good buy for the price.

I researched quite a few of these to get just the right one for the job. They are compact, the case fits on a belt, so you can carry it to a rock concert. It survived a mosh pit in the case attached to my belt. Also looks smart at the Theatre watching a Symphony Orchestra. The clarity is awesome; I have more expensive bulkier binoculars with the same size lenses which somehow seem darker. Optics are very good, warm and clear.

It would be a joy to use for myself and kid, but broke on first drop. I would assume some protection and durability, but while my 6 yr old was using and dropped to ground, the binoculars broke (lens system inside fell apart). But with that being said, the Permafocus is absolutely a MUST for kids.. just have to be more careful.

They come with a strap and are not terribly heavy or bulky.
These binoculars have helped me to appreciate the live game a lot more, as I can now see everything that's going on!
