Gilles: These are great day or night in situations were you need to be able to quickly visually acquire something. I've used these in hunting and for work purposes. While they take up space in a minimalist kit it certainly is worth your while depending on the adventure.

W. K. James: Well pleased with these fixed focus binoculars for long distance viewing without having the problem of keeping them stable as I found with ones that you need to focus. Not any use for use closer views such as bird watching due to the fixed focus. Easy to carry and use.

Robert Shaw: Not as sharp as I would like. Next time I would opt for the Powerview. I think having that little extra focus adjustment would really help.

Greg: Overall I really like these Bushnells. Not having to constantly focus especially with the 12 x magnification is very handy... I use these for skywatches and aircraft viewing...so they’re great for moving objects. You do lose some quality being permanent focus which is understandable, so it is a compromise. For air shows and sporting events these are great. Things are blurry at very close range, this is another thing you compromise on having the big selling point of permanent focus. For viewing stationary objects these are still very good, but if stationary objects were my main intended use I’d probably get adjustable focus which would probably be better clarity. For general purpose binos these are great, so I recommend them.

macaroy: These are the nicest binoculars I’ve ever owned. I have had many pairs of binoculars and monoculars over the years but, I’m not the guy that is going to drop a thousand bucks on a pair. These were in my price range and the auto focus is awesome. If you’ve never tired auto focus, you should, you will love it. One thing you should know about these is they are fairly high powered. If you are just looking out your back door at the bird feeder, these will probably not focus to that distance. These start to focus well at about 60 feet I guess. I got them for seeing long distance and they work great for that.
