They worked perfected well - they are not heavy, easy to use, and the optics were great for seeing the animals up close. Highly recommended!

sherri merciersherri mercier:
I owned an older pair of Bushnell binoculars that were 8x23 and made back in the late 80's and early 90's. They were around 30 years old and still worked well, but I wanted something with a little more magnification. So I began looking for a new pair and I read hundreds of reviews and watched comparison videos of just about every brand you can imagine. My budget is much bigger these days, then it was back then, so I would not hesitate to buy a $200 or $300 pair if I thought they would really impact my viewing in some way. I'm not a bird watcher and I use them mainly when traveling. Sometimes I'll see something way off in the distance and want to get a closer look. I also fish a lot and use them when boating on the river. If I see a deer or some other animal as I'm boating, I'll stop and pull them out to see them closer and just enjoy nature.
That being said, I'm not trying to see the details of every little tail feather of a rare bird. So for me, the quality difference between a $300 pair of binoculars and this pair, was not big enough for me to justify the extra expense. I purchased these for $79.05 and I got 5% back by using my Prime card. I immediately...

Privateer-FL: Great 10x42 binoculars. Cheap in price only. Waterproof. Small. Although it has a rooftop prizm, it has really good low light capability. Lightweight. Nothing not to like. Buy two for the price of one of something else and keep one pair in the glove box.

Herbert Cheok: The X'treme is an upgraded version of the H2O with fully multicoated lens. What I like about it is its solid feel all round and is very well made. But more importantly is its focusing wheel which is light and smooth which makes it a pleasure to use. Lastly, not forgetting its excellent optics. There is nothing to complain about.

yycyvonnec: Great little binocs, but there is no Bear Grylls branding on them at all. I thought this would be fun for my gift recipient, but they are simply orange and grey. Work great, but not sure how they are Bear Grylls brand.

Bought these binoculars in anticipation of a road trip up to Alaska to replace an older pair of Bushnell's that didn't quite have the build quality or optical capabilities of this unit. I debated between this model and the (slightly) more expensive non-Bear Grylls model that Bushnell makes. Overall, I decided that BG isn't a bad guy and I cared more about saving money than a style thing. If you don't like the BG bling, be aware that there's an identical version in all-black that you can purchase as well.
Overall, these performed exactly as they needed to. We experienced a pretty hefty share of both rain and fog...never did I have a problem with these binoculars. While I was de-fogging my camera lenses, I could pull out these and get a view on exactly what I wanted to see without trouble. Through more than one torrential downpour, I pulled these out and didn't have any troubles...my supposedly "waterproof" rain gear failed before these did! I really appreciated being able to take these into virtual any condition...it allowed some viewing opportunities that might not have been present otherwise.
Optically, these were pretty good and got me up...

Dee Pierce: Work very well except that it is impossible to turn the orange adapter ring, so I can't get the focus quite right for my left eye. (Why I deducted one star.) Half the price of some Mavens but much better for my eyeglass-dependent self. I use them a lot.
