Kevin: I'm a budding plant enthusiast, so not overly familiar with the in-depth science behind soil composition for plants just yet. From my experience handling this soil so far, there is a good mixture of large and small substrates to allow for drainage while still providing a firm base to compact around and support roots. I find that using a mister or spray bottle to dampen the soil will retain that moisture for a few hours, but does need checking throughout the day as it can dry out quickly. Other watering methods may vary.
I'm only one week into germinating basil with this potting mix, but I'm already seeing multiple sprouts in each pot. It claims to be pre-fertilized with a 3-month supply of plant food. We'll see how my plants hold up.

Suphie Wesner: Contains fertilizer; beware. Watch out for that. May burn your plant. Not the best. Not much coir in it or coconut husks or anything like that. Needs more aeration. Too dense for some plants. Coir improves air porosity, which there doesn't seem to be much of in this mix. It's just okay. :( Not bad, shall we say.

Update: for some reason every plant I’ve repotted with this mix now has fungus gnats and I’m praying to God I can get rid of them quick 😩
