Kevin Talbot: This one has a carafe with vacuum insulation. It keeps the coffee hot for hours and never has that burned coffee flavor like the ones with the heater base! We cannot taste any difference between the glass carafe and the stainless one.

Scott Lefferts: I have a cabin at an altitude of 8500 feet. The coffee come out burning hot. Very simple to use. If you leave it plugged in you have coffee almost instantly. I have to unplug it after each use do to I'm running it off solar batteries. I have a hot pot of coffee in 15 minutes. Well worth the wait.

Natalie: Bought this over a year ago to make coffee for the wife (I don’t drink the stuff) and it does that very well. And quickly. Add grounds, add water, close the lid on the reservoir, then enjoy hot coffee (if you do). There’s no timer, so you have to wake up and go through the three-step process. This won’t make fancy coffee, no foams or cappuccinos or other such creations, but it will make black coffee and keep it hot. It does what it should. For those worried about having to leave it on to get the instantly hot water - we have seen no increase in our electric bill, so that’s not really a thing.

SandyB: We always purchase Bunn coffeemakers due to the quick brewing. They have always proven to be of high quality and withstand the test of time...all have lasted many years. We recently had to replace our 9 year old machine and decided on this model to try the stainless carafe, rather the glass. This is a game changer - fresh coffee that stays HOT for hours, and no burner to accidentally leave on. The carafe is heavy and since it is not see-through, it is difficult to know how much beverage is left. But, we feel a small price to pay for all the other great features.

jean: I’m not much of a coffee drinker but my hubby is. So I purchased this not researching more about it. What drew me into buying this one is it’s simple operation. I don’t like all the new ones with too many options and electronics!

It keeps the coffee hot but I didn’t understand the initial set up, so my bad. However, once this thing is turned off and reserved water is cool, it takes forever to wait! I mean 5mins to initially warm it up is like forever when you’re in a hurry! So, I just leave it on for the most part of the week. The cumbersome part is, there is no holder for the coffee drip thingy when refilling coffee grounds. I mean our old Mr Coffee works better to be honest. Would be nice if it came with fine metal mesh so no need for paper filter each time!

This is just too pricy for a simple drip coffee system with carafe. I’d say not really worth the price. Yes, it does keep the coffee at the right temp and not burn but I don’t really recommend for home use but MIGHT just work for office or break room.

Kimmie: The classic Bunn coffee maker. I was tired of every coffee maker I bought having some little fiddly part go. I wanted something fast, easy to clean and ease of use. I didn’t want another blue light clock on my countertop. I didn’t want spills when people poured their coffee or when we loaded the filter. The thermos carafe seals the coffe beautifully, and the pour spout must be patented. The only thing I miss is the sneak a cup feature many other coffee pots have. We used this brand of coffee maker in a hotel I managed, and never had a problem. It brews a beautiful cup of coffee. Buy a reusable gold filter, it doesn’t come with one.

MAKE SURE you follow the setup instructions upon first use. Remember them well.
This thing would be great in the office or lunchroom or somewhere where it gets used moderately frequently throughout the day. The problem is, its designed to be on all the time in order for the coffee to keep hot and be made quickly. If you use this once a day at home you have to decide if you leave it on all the time, or start the (essentially) first-time startup instructions, which I suppose should really be called "first use once being turn on instructions". Not really a huge concern, you just have to wait 5 mins for your first brew as this thing powers up. Once its going though its quite amazing the party keeps rocking and if you do leave it on you will have hot coffee in like 20 secs.
We dont leave ours turned on all day because that just seems wack - we still love this thing.
It also didnt get damaged in shipping, which is always appreciated.
