dave: Just received recently, haven't used much, but initial impression leaves me overwhelmingly happy with this selection. Very substantial blade, sharp, sleek beautiful finish, very satisfying and solid click into position upon opening, very sturdy lockback stability. I selected this for Buck reputation, USA origin, and traditional design, ie, thumbhole open and sturdy lockback structure. I have a few orthopedic issues at 72 and I don't open 100 cartons a day or plan on being in a knife fight, so I don't care about one handed flipper or switch blade action. This is not ultra light weight but it is plenty light for its size and high build quality. Definitely would not give up the lockback structure and mechanism to save a little weight. People with normal dexterity will be able to use the thumbhole one handed. Don't see how one could find better quality and looks for $50.

Kindle Customer: Good knife, but get the buck 112 slim select instead unless you're really against thumb studs. Cheaper, lighter, grippier, has a deep carry clip...

steven richardson: I love the fact that this knife is American made and relatively inexpensive. It is very sturdy with no play in the blade. I like the lock back mechanism as it is stronger than other types. It comes sharp and the blade design is nice. The only cons would be the knife is a little thinner in my hand than I would like and it isn’t easy to open one handed.

Fab: Pour le prix, il a un super gueule et fait son travail. L'ouverture n'est pas évidente à une main via le spiderhole. Je trouve l'acier un peu tendre, ce qui rend le tranchant fragile.
