Brew Delicious Iced Tea in Minutes with the Mr. Coffee 2-in-1 Iced Tea Brewing System and Glass Pitcher

Monica: This is our 2nd one. 8 year old one works fine & went to daughter. We use for high quality unsweetened loose tea with high caffeine/tannins that can cloud (same taste) if cooled to quickly over ice. To prevent that from happening, we typically use 14 grams of loose tea shaken in the ‘removable brewing tub’ over sink to get rid of any dust (dust can cause bitterness), don’t use ice, and let it cool to room temp. Then add water to the ice line and use/refrigerate. Perfect brewed ice tea every time!

Kindle Customer tjw1313: This is the 3rd Mr Coffee Iced Tea Maker I have had. Pros: I can choose the strength of tea when making. Easy to use. Cons: out of 3 ice tea makers this one has a lid that is not tight fitting. If you are pouring a glass of tea you have to hold the lid down or it falls off.

Bo: Great iced tea is very easy to make with the new Mr Coffee tea maker. By putting ice in the pitcher and water in the tea maker you get easy iced tea in on time.

MS: I have lost track of how long I have had this tea maker, but it is more than five years. Probably closer to eight, and it is still working just as well as it did the day I took it out of the box. I'd had one of the Mr. Coffee iced tea machines that had the plastic pitcher in the past, but over time, the tea started to taste funny, even after thorough cleanings. So, I bought this. I bought it because of the glass pitcher (you don't have to be as gentle as other reviews imply. I am still on the one that came with the machine). I don't brew with the plastic lid on, and it is still in good shape even after all this time (I DO use it after the tea is done and stirred). I have always hand washed both pieces, so that may explain the longevity.

As for the machine itself, it still makes an excellent pitcher of tea. I like mine on the strong side, and I appreciate that I can choose the brew strength. I periodically run water with either bleach or vinegar (and then plain water several times to get the bleach or vinegar out) through the machine to keep it clean.

My only complaint is that I can't find a replacement filter. My filter is still in good shape, no warping or anything...
