AC: I've been testing out rusks as of late and wanted to see what was available. Rusk bread baked three times - once to rise, once to crisp up the crust, and then once after it has been sliced to crisp up the rest. This is a mild rusk - very mild sweetness, very mild saltiness, mostly tasting like toast. Some may find it to be too mild, it is maybe one step up from a unsalted saltine in terms of flavor. It takes butter well, and dips okay, though it doesn't have much body. It is lightly crunchy - easy to bite into and chew down.
I thought it was okay, pretty good. Nice late night snack. But I don't think I'd get this specific rusk again, I'd try to find something a little more savory or salty next time. I'd recommend it as an introduction to the food type, though.

Amazon Customer: I’m not familiar with other brands of zwieback toast, but this seemed to be as expected. My baby likes it and it was fun and safe for her to chew on, which is why I bought it. The edges of crusts are a little more crumbly and break easily, so I removed it to be safe for her to chew on since she doesn’t have teeth yet. The price might be a little more expensive than I think it should be for such a small box, but that is what I get for buying something not found on my regular grocery store shelf.
