TAD: This is the 3rd one we have bought. They last several years so there is that. They use to come with a tube brush for cleaning but this one did not, good thing I still have the last one. These work, They just always work. even when there is no power. They tend to break at the top part where the tube goes into the pumper part. That seems to be the weak spot but by the time it breaks there they are several years old and probably need to be replaced anyways. I always look for this brand.

application error: This pump works awesome! It pumps out water at a very reasonable rate and without much effort. The tube goes all the way to the bottom but I do have to angle it slightly just because the jug is convex at the bottom but I'd still say a perfect fit. It's 100% manual which is what I wanted since I didn't want to have to charge something or replace batteries and if the world ends, this thing will still work :D

I didn't like having the jug on the angled rack and it took up almost a whole counter. It was annoying. I also didn't want some large dispenser taking up floor space. This "lil" pump made for the perfect compromise with the smallest foot print possible and I have over 3/4 of my counter now.

I have an AmericanMaid 5 gallon jug I gather came from Walmart (my girl's brother got it years ago). I also bought some caps off here specifically for it which do not work BUT this pump fits and seals proper. I only mention that since there have been some reviews about issues w/ the AmericanMaid jugs.

100% satisfied and I finally am willing to fill this 5 gallon jug and lug it to/from my car (things are heavy when they're full ) :D

Mandie: I wanted a solution to dispensing water from a 5-gallon bottle that didn't involve an ugly, bulky water dispenser. This product is really great....I can leave the 5-gallon bottle on the floor (no heavy lifting to waist height) and use the pump easily. It's especially easy because of the leverage I get from simply pushing straight down on it while slightly bending from a standing position. It took a few tries to understand the best rhythm and speed to use the pump, but once I figured it out, it's really easy to fill a quart water jug with a few pumps. The mechanism that allows the pump to be secured onto the bottle is really well designed, making it very easy to screw into place.

In reading other reviews, apparently there is another "knock off" product that has problems. I specifically ordered this Dolphin brand to make sure I got the authentic product.

The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the large round top of the pump is a little wobbly and sticks sometimes when pressing down. I have to make sure to press down in a certain way. It's a very minor inconvenience and doesn't happen all the time. Overall, really happy with this...

Bunnie: I purchased this pump because I had to use bottled water while having some plumbing work done at my house.

I like the fact that this pump does not need batteries to run. It's good for household use and I'm sure it will be great to use when camping as well.

The pump did fit my 5 gallon water bottle, however it did not fit my 3 gallon American Made bottles without slight modification.

The issue with the 3 gallon bottle is 2 fold. First, the opening at the top of the bottle is slightly too small for the pump to grasp it correctly. I saw some people in reviews suggested rubber bands and others suggested O rings. At the time I had neither. The next best thing was rubber hair ties. I used ones purchased at the local drug store they're the black ones made for extra hold and they actually resemble a large O ring. Depending on the size of the opening of your bottle you may need to use anywhere from 1 to 5 to achieve the desired effect. You may need to layer them. You'll know it's on correctly when you can tighten screw on the clamp without it releasing and the pump doesn't move.

SquareMouth: I choose my title to emphasize that I did not have any shipping problems. It wouldn't surprise me if the owner of the company read the previous post and has made corrections to shipping. This is SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT I very highly recommend this to anyone. I get bottled water because sometimes the tap water does not taste right. I had bought a water dispenser that dispenses hot and cold water. I immediately regretted buying one of those devices becaue of the very slow water delivery. You have to bend down and hold your cup in position for a while, sometimes while operating the safety device for hot water. So, you have to hold your cup in one hand, and push those tiny buttons at the same time. THIS PUMP AVOIDS ALL THOSE PROBLEMS. The water flows very quickly out of the device. I don't even like drinking cold water, so I prefer that it not be refrigerated. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, I don't have to try to invert that huge 5 gallon bottle over an electic unit, trying not to get water all over the place. I HATE LOADING THE ELECTRIC UNITS!
