Paul H.: This is the best book on boundaries I've ever read. I have had boundary issues all of my life but am finally learning at age 66. It's never to late to improve, I believe. This is a Christian writer, and thus does have a Biblical world view and God is part of the equation in getting emotionally healthy. I do believe anyone, regardless of their position on religion, can benefit from reading this book.

Derek: Great, practical advice on how to set boundaries with people in your life so that you can learn to make decisions and say “yes” to people out of a pure desire (not out of guilt, fear, etc) and “no” to people when it’s needed.
Targeting a Protestant Christian audience, but solid wisdom for believers and non-believers alike.

Amazon Customer: Sometimes it was hard for me to read, I’m sure it was because I was reading part of my story through others experiences but I consider this is a very inspiring book to help you understand the importance of boundaries and to guide you to begin setting boundaries.

Sharilyn Ferguson: This book is amazing, it took me longer to read but that is okay. I learned a lot, it showed me what I already knew, and what I was doing, by closing the door on an ex-friend who I will call Drama Queen, who was holding me back, from serving God the way I should have for 35 plus years. I mostly saw her in almost every chapter. Also I saw a bit of myself with issues with my family. This book is also a great study tool to revert back too, if I need a refresher. I like the way he used scriptures as well, I have nothing to say about dislike as I love this book and I highly recommend this book to everyone who has A Drama Queen in their lives, like me. It’s so encouraging and helpful in this controlling, abusive, world we live in, it deserves more than 5 stars! :)

Sarah: Book seems ok. However it does go on about God a lot and it’s clearly from a Christian perspective. I am not religious and would not have deliberately brought such a religious orientated book. Suppose apart from this it seems ok, the advice seems fair and useful- although no idea what god has to do with having boundaries. The slightly religious element does irritate me a little seeing as how I brought this book to establish some boundaries from my religious zealot mother and here I am being preached at again. Kind of ironic.
