Mehran: The title clearly says Stainless Steel, but it mostly plastic!
Also has a lot of little screws and holes which makes it very difficult to clean.

TreatEmFair: I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived. The quality is very high, higher than I expected, and it does it's job very well. There's not much to slicing hard boiled eggs, but with sharp wires and functionally solid tool, it's easy and quick. Cleaning really is just rinsing it off right after use, and then occasionally run it through the dishwasher.

Sly: Sharp wires do the job. Good product except for one thing, cleaning it is really a drag. The DW won't do it and you have to have a brush or hard spray of water to clean. Maybe all of them are like that, I dont know.

G. H.: I pulled out my 70 year old hard cooked egg slicer and went to town as a friend's wife watched. See had never seen such a device and loved it. (She is not native to the USA and many kitchen gadgets are new to her). For a Christmas present I bought her this one. I opened the box and looked over the item. Nicely made and it has a second slicing wire setup that can be used alone or with the thin slicer. This makes it more flexible and a great deal better than my old timey slicer - that I have been using since a child. Being thrifty I will continue to use my inferior unit; but man 'o man - this is one I will buy if I break the wires on the old one. Without hesitation I recommend this product.
