Amazon Kunde: Very useful book for managers and consultants. Models are quite easy to understand and easy to apply. It is not a book to read, as reading it takes less than a day. It's wise to keep it bellow the office desk, to be consulted every time one needs to make an effective presentation of the available options or find a quick matrix for managing time, options or for making a quick decision. It will help you save a lot of time when dealing with most less than strategic issues

Amazon Customer: I like the layout of the book and I’m still reading it. I really like the inside from cover which sections different types of decisions. It is quite a small book. I bought secondhand and it was in pristine condition.

Joseph Augustine: One would guess out of the many models as decision tools out there there has been a certain amount of editorial licence by the author’s in curating these MBA friendly strategies. For example, the popular Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Modes model is not included, but instead an anonymous theory describing six typical reactions to conflict, either emotional-based (flight, fight, flop i.e. retreat); or rational-based (evasion, compromise and consensus).
The strengths are in the plain, uncluttered layout, making for easy to understand breakdowns. The graphics are spartan and to the point. Attached inside both covers is a rather handy reference guide consisting of a 4-field matrix of all the models with their page numbers categorised into: ‘how to improve myself’, how to improve others’, ‘how to understand myself’ and ‘how to improve others better.’ “Yes, and...” in the spirit of Appreciative Enquiry (Cooperider and Srivastva) there are well chosen aphorisms and quotes which round off every explanation.
An advantage in having this much decision-making power in bite-sized chunks is the ability to string, overlap or correlate between the different models,...

Ayman Hamzah Al-Jomouee: This book is full of tools, some are useful and some are very high level or common sense (in my humble opinion) but I guess true development comes from embracing the common sense logic and building on it.
Also, I find the last sections of the book about influencing others more useful and interesting
Thanks to the authors for putting this together..

michael moon: As a figurative buffet of powerful decision-making patterns, the authors pulled off something that few others attempt: they depicted often complex or deep ideas in simple, elegant diagrams.
I cannot overstate the value of “seeing“ ideas in motion. In some future, not far off, books will present in a more immersive, interactive manner that would allow a reader/participant to delve, even deeper into the idea, transforming it into a generative principle — embodying the idea that now has a habit of mind and action
