James Milam: I was looking for a peddle that was wider so my foot would not slip off while peddling. These peddles fit the bill they are a much wider platform from front to back and side to side. They are of high quality which helps with peddling. They are lightweight which helps on long rides. I am quite pleased with this purchase. These peddles are everything I was looking for in a cycling peddle.

Jay B.Jay B.: I have a men’s Schwinn Chute Mountain Bike that desperately needed a pedal upgrade. I purchased this particular brand based upon the reviews and the that I wanted a metal-type pedal that would hold up to my kind of riding. When the pedals arrived, I was immediately impressed by the overall build quality, and modern design.

When it came to removing the old pedals and installing the new ones, they didn’t come with instructions, so that’s on you to do your research. As for me, I think I looked at most “how to” videos out there, and basically pieced together my plan. I first used a 12mm socket to undo the nut that was positioned at the end of the pedal, that held the pedal onto the pedal post. I then used a15mm open-end box wrench to loosen and remove the pedal posts (this will require some muscles and leverage to complete). Remember, when loosening the pedal post from the LEFT side of the bike, be sure to turn the wrench clockwise (right), and when loosening the pedal post from the RIGHT side OF THE BIKE, be sure to turn the wrench counter-clockwise (left).

Once both pedal posts were removed, I was happy to discover the threaded pedal...

ARS: Before buying these pedals, my bike had standard plastic ones with very little grip. If my shoes were even slightly wet, I couldn't trust my pedals enough to pedal very hard without slipping off. These were easy to install (I Know nothing about bikes, watched a 2 min youtube video on how to install pedals) and only took a few minutes to do so. I did however need to purchase a pedal wrench since I had no tool that would work. Very pleased with these so far - they look nice and the grip they provide is worlds better than what I used to use. They feel sturdy and well-made - no complaints

Kudos to Bonmixc for rapidly responding to my original review of their product! They expressed sincere concern that the pedals did not meet their own production quality standards and have made a genuine effort to remedy the issue expressed below. I am currently using a later manufactured version of the same pedal, and everything seems fine to date. These pedals offer outstanding grip to softer sole shoes, relatively light-weight and the core axle shaft seems strong (I am a big guy so that is important!) If we can pedal along a for a few more months without losing pins (and finding the pin hole threads are stripped) I'll be a happy biker. I am confident that Bonmixc truly stands behind these pedals and have made changes to ensure that they perform up to par for most bike riders. A good value for nice, studded pedals!

As much as I really want to like these pedals - I have lost 3-4 pins on one side of both pedals within a couple hundred miles of paved street, adult commuter riding (no off-road or gravel trails at all.) The manufacturer...

hankster169: Well made and very appealing with a strong anodized paint-job, I don't see how it will scuff easily! It has a nice light weight to it but still a solid feel to the touch. It even spins very smooth and quite when in motion! With having the wider foot surface, you'll securely plants your grip for confident riding. I've seen similar types in a more popular brand for 3 times the price with a difference of only in style; for the beholder preference I guess.

I've found that the cleat studs were indeed on pretty tight. However, after reading other reviews about them coming loose, I decided to apply high strength thread-locking compound (the strongest, red). Boy, I hope I may never have to get-em off at anytime... hopefully never! But, I'm not going to chance them from backing off anyhow, anyway.

For the price range, I see no other ones coming close to it! Now after all, the OEM peddles replacements are almost the same price as these were.
