Ray: This is very useful and enables you to do some things that are otherwise difficult to do. As a Grandfather, I am often called on to repair toys that the kids have broken. Other glues take some time to cure, and kids aren’t usually willing to wait. Using Bondic, I can often come up with an instant fix.

While this material hardens within seconds, it will only do so if exposed to UV light, as such, if the resin is within a join and shielded from the light, it won’t set. In these cases, in my experience, the best way to repair broken items is to use another glue to join the broken parts, then use the Bondic to stabilise the broken parts with a few tacks of UV cured resin to hold everything in place until the glue sets.

A while back, I had a spot weld fail on my car door lock mechanism, I carefully degreased the area around the broken weld, then used the Bondic to replace the spot weld, by building up a series of layers that were each UV cured. Car door locks take a lot of stick and I only intended this to be a temporary fix, but more than six months on, everything remains intact.

Alwin: please dont use this as a glue at best it a temporary hold while you find something better. i tried to use it to wield my lens into my glasses, witch it did but in the end. but in the end i had to use it to pin my lens in to place then you an epoxy resin to do the job,it has very limited strength and is not flexible. BONDIC has a place in the market but am not sure where. its a lot of money to spend if your not sure what you want it for

Cornbread: Product arrived with broken vial of "goo." Smelly liquid had leaked out of the vial because of a broken cap. The vial was covered with goo. I tried using the included UV LED to stick the broken pieces of the cap back together. The goo got stiffer but did not stick to the plastic vial. Maybe that's by design but I think this product is not ready for prime time. I don't know if it works as they show in the videos because most of the liquid adhesive goo was soaked into the sponge that the unit ships with. Also, I can't see how this could be used for anything but the smallest repairs because the included LED is so small that you'd need a bunch of them to really put much UV light on the repair.
Update: I complained to the shipper and they initially said that it was probably my fault for not opening the package correctly. I told them in no uncertain terms that the goo was already leaking all over the sponge when I opened the package so they sent me a replacement unit with the LED, the vial, and the sponge in a new metal case. They also sent a return shipping envelope for the broken unit. When the original Amazon shipper told me it was my fault I had also complained to the...

Matthew K. Wimmer: Bondic is Great!

Lets start with this statement: Bondic is Great! And then lets get some disclaimers out of the way...

1) Bondic will not replace superglue or epoxy in every situation.
2) It is not as strong as quality epoxy, and as it is not a true adhesive, it will not work well unless there are edges or texture for it to grab -this is why they recommend roughing the surface prior to application-.
3) It is NOT ideal for repairing clean breaks as it is not a true adhesive like super-glue and if it does not have edges and texture to grab onto it will not hold well. Also, if your material is opaque, getting the Bondic in the middle of the crack to cure may prove very difficult, as it has to be hit with Ultraviolet light in order to cure.
4) It still doesn't stick to polypropylene, nothing commercially available really does, but with the right texture it's as good or better than anything else you can buy in the store.
