Coke: Buttons are way to close together, they are also way too sensitive. Overall, two things bothered me which were videos could not be played externally, like on a computer. Kept stating media was damaged, even when reformatted and it always seemed to be on which is perhaps why there are two batteries with it. Also, ad said there was an extra 64 GB memory card. There was not.

James G: Both batteries have failed to last even 1 yr, they swole up and obviously were unusable. After a few emails to determine the issue was the batteries and not the unit that caused the problem, Boblov replaced both batteries at no cost to me.

The camera quality is great in all lighting conditions so far. I primarily use it outdoors from early morning until just before sunset. I have not had the opportunity to use it in very low light (after sunset) however in low light it keeps the quality I was expecting.

I found the interface (computer connection) to be mildly difficult to use. Probably just poor translation to English. Even the on/off sounds appear to be reversed. "On" sounds more like a "power off" tone and vice versa. Again, minor issue that I chalk up to North America vs China cultures.

Other than the battery issue, which I do believe to be bad luck on my part (mass production; this happens), my only other issue is the motion stability could be better. That said, it is a body camera not a professional video studio, so it's a minor complaint. Amazon Customer: I’m not gonna go too deep into my bona fides here but I have a background in photography, and video arts, law-enforcement, executive protection/private security, on-site security camera assessment and installation.

With that in mind my assessment of this body camera is it is one of the poorest industrial designs I’ve ever run across.
1. The camera lens is not recessed in any way.
So if you bump into anything, rub up against it the lens is almost certain to get damaged.
2. No I’m not a big believer in owners manuals.
Your device should be intuitive enough so that I don’t need one.
But if you need one, you’re going to be disappointed when you try to use this one.
3. Ease-of-use, well it’s not.
DIan screen options are in every way possible convoluted and difficult to access.
There’s just nothing intuitive about the user interface.
But if you fool around with it for long enough you will figure out the basics.
However you will then be disappointed by the lack of settings available.
Example.
So every time you push a button on the device it makes an irritating and completely unnecessary send effect.

JEK: I like the correct size for my waterproof camera and that it fits on my belt with snap closers. That means I don't have to rethread the belt to hold it on. The flap closure is strong and I like the double zipper which gives quick access. It will protect my camera physically and keep it from prying eyes as well. A very handy approach to carrying a small camera, leaving both hands free.

Amazon Customer: Bought two of them to field test and wasn't disappointed. They are fantastic devices for what they cost. They come with two batteries and a dual battery charger, which proves to be useful. The clarity of the video, and more importantly the sound, is almost amazing. The night vision IR on the device is also stunningly clear. The device also comes with the 30 second pre-record option which you can turn on or off, which is fantastic so you don't miss a thing as a situation develops. The device must be turned on and in standby mode for the 30 second pre-record option to work. We bought the option with the 60g internal hardrives and they hold a TON... I mean a TON of videos. It would be a few months worth of shifts for us to run out of space.

The downsides that we have with them are, the device does not automatically distinguish when it needs to enter into night vision mode. You must manually activate the IR. When you do activate the IR, there are 4 red lights that illuminate on the front of the device facing towards your subjects. You have the ability to activate the IR without have to be actively recording, so you are able to begin capturing an event at night very quickly,...

Dime: Once you get the settings dialed in this thing is amazing! If you want a full 8 hours of unplugged recording time (with a battery swap at lunch time of course) set it to 480/30p, video quality: fine, light sensitive: high, IR switch: auto, LCD auto off: 30 seconds (but tap the power button to turn off the LCD as soon as you start recording), GPS: off, and leave everything else the same. The onboard speaker is incredibly loud (though susceptible to distortion, watching on a PC/smartphone the audio is crystal clear even in high wind). With these settings not only will it last through a full 8 hour shift, after a battery swap the battery in the cradle will charge back to full before the one in the unit itself dies again. Yes, this means you can continually record until the memory gets full. Speaking of memory, 8 hours worth of video takes up juuuuuust over 10gb. For easy indexing after your shift all you've gotta do is remember to snap a pic sometime around the timeframe you want to recall for later. Really can't say enough good things about this unit! Only deducted one star because the included clips (which are fantastic as far as holding on and staying in place) are not rotatable....
