The Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder is the perfect tool for any coffee lover. With its electronic design and continuously adjustable grind, this grinder is ideal for achieving the perfect cup of coffee. The rubberized grip makes it easy to handle, and the 12-step adjustable grind settings give you full control over the coarseness of your grind. The 7.75-ounce capacity jar ensures that you have plenty of coffee for multiple cups. This grinder has been rated as one of the best Coffee Grinders based on its easy to use design, customer support, convenience, and overall performance.J Anger: I use this for grinding coffee beans and am very happy with its performance. Would recommend it to anyone.

Greg Franklin: I am very happy with this grinder at this price point. The grind is not as consistent as I would have hoped. For a french press grind (course grind) the grind is very uneven, easily solved by moving the grind control indicator a few notches finer. It is not messy at all. There is a good seal between the grind catcher and the machine so no grinds escape. There is a bit of static, but nothing really to complain about. As mentioned in other reviews, it is a bit of a mystery why the power button is upside down. Up should be ON and down should be OFF. Finally, the metal burr that needs to be installed by the user is covered in grease on the gears. No mention in the instruction book whether this grease ever has to be reapplied. I would definitely buy again.

jdmaci: I like this coffee grinder, it is easy to use and the grind size is consistent. The 3 things that could be improved.
1) the instructions - there are none.
On the clear plastic lid that covers the hopper where the beans go, there is inscribed a table that makes no sense. The rows are supposed to be amount of coffee cups and the columns are time which I presume is time to grind. But the symbols within the table are unclear. And this seems irrelevant as you keep grinding until the jar collecting the grinds is full.
- What I WANTED to know:
A) How to set up the machine. Especially how to adjust the grind size. After looking online I tried to follow their instructions to rotate the hopper with the beans but it stuck and I was afraid of breaking it. I tried again the next day and eventually I was above to rotate the upper piece.
B) How many beans you could grind at a time. The first time I did not come close to filling the hopper but it was too many beans and I could not get the jar out until I turned the machine sideways and pulled hard, spilling a lot of grinds and the rest of the beans still in the hopper all over my counter. I still do not know how many I can put in...

RubberCheeseRubberCheese: The media could not be loaded. I bought this almost two years ago for the office (purchased in March 2018), where it has working without issue. It’s used 2-3 times per day every workday, and receives virtually no love (or cleaning out).
At home, I’ve had a Cuisinart DBM-8C and am now using a Braun KG7070 which I’ll compare to in this review.
WALK-AROUND – Bodum Bistro
This grinder has an all-plastic exterior (except the glass output jar). The plastic is matte which makes it look surprisingly good. The bean hopper can be rotated to allow you to select grind coarseness. On the top of the unit is the timer dial (allows you to select 5 to 20second grind times) and a “go” button. On the side of the unit is a power button. At the office, we leave the timer set to approximately 8 seconds (press “go” once for a half pot, twice for a full pot) and the power button is always on.
NORMAL USE
This grinder works like most other grinders – pour in your beans, replace the hopper lid, select coarseness, select grind time and hit Start. Ground coffee lands in the lower hopper, and you can pull it out, remove the lid, and dump into your coffee...

Snoopy: I've used a number of blade grinders in the past, and they all had two thing in common--tons of mess, and uneven grinding. I'm currently using a french press for a couple months (drip machine packed for moving), and have used a french press for years, especially when the office coffee was standard issue terrible. Bar none, every blade grinder has defeated the press, with varying degrees of literally sludge at the bottom of the cup. Well, no more. The Bodum beauty burrs out a nearly perfect consistency grind. I set it for expresso, I get baby powder. I set it for press, I get press grade grinds. At the bottom of my cup I still do get a minor, and I mean MINOR, amount of "silt" but this is literally the last few sips. More importantly, those last few sips are NOT gritty like every other grinder I've used will do. So, you may see a swirl of powdered grind at your last 4 sips, but you won't taste or worse feel it. For french press users, your perfect cup is now only limited by the quality of your beans.
Operation: I have found it works best with a hopper full of beans. The timer and grind setting are most consistent then, as it feeds evenly. I know some people are worried about...

Dimon: I have researched these things for hours before deciding to buy this unit. Here are my findings:
There are three units that were in the running (ordered by price):
a. Bodum Bistro Electric Burr Coffee Grinder (the unit on this page and the one I ultimately bought and am very happy with) - $89.99
b. Breville BCG800XL Smart Grinder - $199.99
c. Rancilio ROCKY Rancilio Burr Grinder with Doser - $359.99
Now, if price is not an issue, by all means go with the Breville BCG800XL (really can't go wrong with that one). Also, notice that all of these are burr grinders (blade grinders are NOT the way to go) and all are excellent machines; all other machines researched under $400 have serious drawbacks - trust me - I've done the research.
Okay, now let's take a look at each one.
--- a. Bodum Bistro Electric Burr Coffee Grinder, Black - this is an excellent unit all around and the one I bought:
-- Grind:
Very consistent and perfect size for drip on drip setting; I have tried this with a drip coffee maker and it is excellent. Some say that it can't quite match the best machines out there for a cappuccino...
