FrançoiseFrançoise: Moi je l'ai mis en mode classique c'est-à-dire avec le câble noir brancher directement sur mon téléphone sans fil et j'ai branché le câble noir fourni de la boîte directement sur le boîtier et relier ensuite au téléphone c'est simple une fois connecté vous activez les options qui sont au dos du boîtier qui vous sont expliqués certes c'est en anglais mais c'est facilement compréhensible pour bloquer les appels anonymes pour bloquer les appels à l'étranger pour bloquer une série de numéro de téléphone ou un préfixe c'est simple et vous pouvez même effacer un numéro que vous avez enregistré par erreur ou un préfixe dans le boîtier par défaut je vous conseille de décrocher votre téléphone fixe de le mettre en main libre et quand vous bloquez un numéro surtout vous faites bien **(étoile)
**7# vous entendez un bip puis faite dans la foulée le préfixe ex 098 et # pour valider, vous entendez a nouveau un bip voir 2 bip c'est que c'est valider.
Pour ma part j'avais fait la manipulation directement et décrocher ensuite des fois vous entendez pas les deux bips d'affilée donc si vous faites simplement comme c'est noté ci-dessus vous décrochez votre...

Commentator: I bought the CPR V5000 primarily to block International and Unavailable calls - but it let most of them through. On the positive side, it blocked an individual number ie my mobile, fine when I tested it. Am sure the red button works fine too. Unfortunately as scammers don't tend to use the same number each time - especially if you've blocked it, I needed the ability to block categories of calls which this in theory offers.
I followed the instructions and entered each code to block:
International/Out of Area
Unavailable
International with 00 prefix
VOIP/IP Rogue Diallers
For each code entered I heard a beep after the **7# and another after entering the remainder of the code eg *# I also received a "Successful" message on the CPR display.
Here's the latest calls I received and whether they were blocked or not:
Beginning of tel no and call category
from my Dect phone's display:
001 374 835 xxxx xxxx/Unavailable Failed
This should have been blocked as I had blocked International calls with 00 prefix and also Unavailable - so one or the other should have worked?
Entered #2 from 2nd phone during the call to block manually. Interestingly in both CPR's...

Andreas: OK, folks, I ended up purchasing the CPR V5000 call blocker and am ready to report on it.

Boy, I miss the US! If you order just a few days before Christmas, like I did, vendors in the USA will bend over backwards to have it delivered before Christmas. But for 3rd-world Europe, Amazon UK, even though I placed the order December 21, gave me no such choice. January 12 was the estimated delivery date, actual date several days later. Unbelievable!

Anyway, I received the item and put it to use immediately. I am glad to report it works as advertised and expected.

A few minor points:

The “included” line splitter is not included.

The phone cord is so short, the device, when connected to your phone can only be placed right next to it with no space between the two.

The manual, is too small and the lettering illegible to anyone over 40. You need to somehow hold the manual open, while using a magnifying lens to read it. That’s surprising, since the product is obviously targeted toward senior citizens.

The manual seems to have been written for telephony environments several decades ago, when there was no internet and no VOIP-compatible...

Smilin Sam: I purchased this item about a week ago. I did a lot of reading prior to the purchase, and I think that might have actually clouded the matter, because a number of reviews were written prior to the latest V202 model. I live in the US in a single family dwelling and only have VTech DECT phones plugged in. (I did have 3 additional old fashioned phones plugged in (to use in the event of a power outage) but I unplugged all of them and am now only using the VTechs (if there is a power outage I can always re-plug in the old fashioned phones).

Initially I hooked up the CPR using the splitter (In Parallel vs In Line) because I thought that was the proper way to hook up this device in the U.S to ensure the full functioning of the DECT phones. (It might be for some folks, but it wasn't necessary for me.) It didn't allow for any sort of programming, so I then hooked it up In Line (without the splitter) and was able to program the CPR and use almost all of the features of my VTech phone. The one (minor) glitch is that when I scroll through the Caller ID on my phone's handset(s) I have to press the scroll button twice for each number, instead of once. I'm not sure why. It's a weird...

N. D.: Currently the best there is.

Some reviews say they have had problems with it, but that was the old version. This version is guaranteed to work on all American systems as well as British ones CPR say. We have Verizon FIOS and it worked perfectly right out of the box and flawlessly.

It comes packaged in a box like a cell/mobile phone does. Nice packaging and the manual is a delight! The manual is nice and simply explained, with lots of clear color pictures and easy-to-understand text. I am so used to tiny gray line illustrations on cheap paper with instructions badly translated from other languages, that this was a most welcome change. Even the text is quite large, so those with limited eyesight should be able to read it. All of the manuals can be read and/or downloaded for free at:

If you are just buying a call blocker now, you should download the manual for version v.202 as this is the model currently being supplied.

Despite what you might read in some of the reviews and questions, there are some things that are not made clear and others things that have been improved and so have changed...
