JO: Coffee maker is ok. It makes a strange thump noise in the 1st couple minutes once started, we find the glass on the pot to be cheap, it needs to be oxy cleaned every week because of stains from the coffee . Its acceptable for making coffee.

norma: This pot is pretty simple to use. It makes a good cup of coffee and has a good amount of features, such as timers, clean, and extra strong cup. It brews fairly fast, or the strong feature brews slower. It works just as good as an expensive brand. I would buy this again.

Cyphter: We bought this coffee maker a little more than 2 years ago and absolutely loved 3 specific features. The cleaning cycle brews the cleaning solution (we use citiric acid) halfway, then pauses to allow for internal soaking before it finishes. This cleaning feature ensures both longevity of the device and the best flavor. It also shoots water into the grounds at an angle that moves the grounds in a cyclone, stirring the grounds as it brews so that you get a much richer and less bitter brew. BRILLIANT!! AND, you have the option of quick brew or slow brew for a stronger cup of coffee without using more grounds!! BRILLIANT TIMES BRILLIANT!! The slow brew feature would not be of benefit without the feature that stirs the grounds. So, for all the super expensive coffee makers I've wasted money on over the years, this is, by far, the best purchase we've ever made in a coffee maker and the price is absolutely fantastic!!

Amazon Customer: I had a $100 dual brew unit from a known brand and I really liked it. But after a couple years the drip maker side started leaking. I went to fix it because I know the fix would be a simple tube replacement or refastening. Guess what? The bums that made it use a special three bladed screwdriver so my regular screwdrivers wouldn't work for disassembling the unit. I could have searched for a three bladed screwdriver, but instead I decided on the spot that I'd never buy a coffee maker from that brand again.

My new coffee machine philosophy is this: no more expensive coffee makers and no more machines with complexity such as dual brew units. Why? Because the fundamental concept of making coffee isn't really all that different for most machines: mix hot water and coffee grinds. I mean, how complicated do you want it to be? I understand that some processes might make for better coffee like cold brewing, but I'm not a coffee snob, I just want an affordable and reliable way to have decent breakfast coffee.

So my new approach is this: get two affordable machines, one for drip brew and one for k-cup. Yes, it'll take more space but if one breaks then I'm not out an expensive...
