Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Handheld Vacuum Cleaner - Perfect for Quick Cleanups

Hailey Guillory: I never write reviews but if this helps another dog parent then I’m glad I am writing it. I have 8 dogs yes 8. I work with dog rescues so I take in the over aggressive ones or in bad conditions. Well with all that being said I have looked for years for something that helps with the dog hair on furniture. My couch is a fabric couch and the dogs get in it. Weekly I vacuum and deep clean it and I use it to vacuum my large rug. This vacuum is great ! It gets all the hair even the ones that are stuck into the threads of the couch. After using it a few times I was telling absolutely every one I could. It really is a great vacuum and it works amazingly. I also use it for my daughter’s fabric headboard on her bed. If you’re on the fence on getting this just do it. You can also get other end for it and new filters for it.

Kunaal: Brand new opened it out of box and tried to use it . It was extremely loud and didn’t suck any of the hair, immediately after it made explosive sounds and I had internal debris of the machine floating around in the catchment.

P. F. R.: Other reviews have mentioned, this vacuum does not work well for cleaning pet hair off hard surfaces, and I can see where that can be the case, as the device is smallish and blows air out the sides, which could create havoc on hardwood stairs and similar surfaces.

However, I bought it specifically to clean a lot of hair from 2 cats off of the carpeted stairs in our 3-story townhome. For that, the vacuum works great. There was a lot of cat hair on the steps that my regular vac was too bulky to get, and even the accessories for my full-sized vac did a poor job of getting to most of the hair.

The pinkish nose on the Bissell vac, though, appears designed for just this job. Start at the 90 degree vertex angle of each step and slowly pull the vac toward you. Repeat until you've covered the width of the step, and then go back to the 90 degree vertex and move up to get the vertical side of the stair. It took me a while (which depends on the number of stairs and the amount of hair), but wow this thing pulled out a LOT of hair. Very impressive for its price range. Bodhisattva: This little vacuum is a beast when it comes to getting rid of pet hair that's clinging to almost everything in my home. I have 4 cats, 2 with barely there hair, one with super long, fine hair and one with hair so thick that if he lays in one spot for more than 10 seconds he leaves a uniform layer of hair in the shape of his body. I bought the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser (Handheld Vacuum, Corded 33A1) to give me some much needed relief from the constant and exhaustive workouts of using fabric brushes (the only thing that actually works) to get that pet hair off my furniture, their cat beds, our beds and everything else that is fabric related in our house and it works absolutely great in that respect. I gave this product 4 stars because it's not perfect, but then again, what is?

The Pros:

1)It makes minimal work of pet hair on fabric type surfaces. Probably the only machine that picks up hair so completely as I have tried many, only to hit the area afterward with my manual, handheld fabric brush and come up with enough hair to warrant me going over everything I just vacuumed again with that darn brush.
