As laptops annoyingly eliminate card readers and connections, this fills the gap. Yes, one more add-on, but a lifesaver to continue using my non-interlaced 24" HP monitor for photo editing. Also, very inexpensive, I'd buy it again.

It worked great for the first 6 months for use with connecting a VGA cable from a Mac Airbook to a projector. We handled it carefully, yet it suddenly stopped working after 6 months. The order on Amazon does not have any clear way of submitting request for a refund or replacement, despite advertising 18 month warranty guarantee. We have only been able to send a message to the Seller and are told it may be several days before getting a response. Let's see...
**update** The company promptly sent a replacement. Good customer service.
