Shop the Bestguarder store for the best Night Vision Monoculars. george: a really nice night vision. minimum range was around 30 feet, which was too long for 1/2 of what i wanted it for. I found this to be quite impressive. I could stand inside and look at things outside thru the windows with no difficulty. the zoom works quite well. Battery life was short, but it could light up targets at what i thought was an unbelievable distance. Images were not daytime binocular sharp, but very good none the less.
If i had the extra money I would have kept this in addition to the one i ended up with as that one does not impress overall like this one did,but it does the close range where this did not. I ended up with solomark for $129 on amazon.
By the way, friends were impressed with this one as well.

RICARDO B. SERRANO: Bestguarder 6x50mm HD Digital Night Vision Monocular
First I want to say that I don't usually do Reviews. I've bought literally hundreds of Products here in Amazon, and this is only my THIRD Review; (although the majority of products bought, performed to my satisfaction). I'M COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY at it's excellence vs. Price! But before I get to my Review; I like TO HELP Prospective Buyers who are debating whether to get this 6X50 NV Monocular or the WG-80 4X50 NV Binoculars (I'm a verified Purchaser of both); with some FACTS, that will be HELPFUL in making their decision a good one.

Beatrice Stevens: The Good, Bad and Ugly!
Good
1. Built like a tank.
2. Record video and photo work well.
3. IR is Super.
4. Works well in dark conditions, view a good three hundred feet.
Bad and Ugly
1. Optics and Lenses are Horrible, and takes for ever to focus if at all.
2. Battery life sucks! It will drain your batteries within thirty minutes. With luck I have a 20,000 ma battery backup so I get a couple of hours of usage if I'm lucky.
3. Field of view is about a third of what my standard night scope with a 50 MM lens is. Very difficult to scan a large area with the limited LCD size.
4. There is a thump or thud when I adjust the lens in front, sounds like a poor threading job, not good quality control.
5. Quality control issue again! Put new batteries in and nothing happened, replaced batteries and nothing happened. So I took a q-tip and cleaned the contacts inside of the night scope, put batteries in and the unit powered up.
6. The PC-Cam USB does not work with windows 8 I wanted to connect to my laptop and view the night scope through my laptop, but would not work.
7. Eye cup bad quality should have been made of foam, as it is now you cannot keep...

Lauren W.Lauren W.: My impression is, it works. It is rugged and feels good in hand because it has the rubber coating and it fits my hands. Comfortable, like it won’t slip out if my hands wet.
It takes some time and a little practice getting used to the controls and lag time focusing, especially the first time you turn the unit on. This unit is better than some of the military stuff I used to work with. Be sure to read brief instruction manual and comment on the various control buttons carefully, having done that the unit performs well. I have no problem seeing objects with considerable clarity over 150 yards away. The optics are much better than other units near the same price point.
Excellent view in total darkness with IR illumination. I was able to see my black cat walking under apple trees at about 50 yards without the IR on. When I turned IR on, the cat glowed. So good for seeing what’s in the dark.
Using AA batteries is a huge plus. Easy to find batteries. Fires up fast and IR truly puts that added oomph when need in total darkness.
This is well made piece of equipment that works exactly as advertised. You can also use it as a recreational tool for camps, night biking and...
