Randy S.: I ordered a few Berry Pro rods through the past couple of years. On one of the orders that I made in 2021 the rod came in without a protective rod bag. I didn't think much of it at the time. Now 2023, I emailed Berry Pro and they sent me a new protective bag for my rod. Berry Pro has great customer service and make quality surf rods. I have not had any problems with any of there surf rods.

MRW: This rod is fantastic for the money. I got the 12 ft. 4 piece. I used this rod surf fishing in FLA. The grip was a little long and did not have a traditional cork or foam handle. It performed very well with long casts, and pretty good sensitivity on strikes. Great backbone for fighting fish. I had a problem with one of the sections and the company replaced it under warranty. I got the new part extremely fast after reporting the problem. I have several surf rods each with unique characteristics and I liked this one for heavier weights, 3-4 ozs,(heavy surf), and longer casts. 4 pieces traveled really well.

Thecaptain420: Handled a 25lb gt no problem. It is a big rod to work. Did have to take a red scotch bright pad to Ferrell for a minute to get it to fit good. No big deal.

so i bought a 4 piece 12 foot model, lighter action.
it fits together well but the top sections (2 parts) has a ribbed texture not smooth like the 1st section or like any other rod ever. not sure what the texture is all about. not sure how it fishes, will update review after Cuba in March..New review,this rod is garbage. 1st attempt, stringing it up, snapped in 2 spots. I’ve been doing this for almost all my life. Junk rod, now they don’t want to warranty it either.
