Jeremy: I used this USB Type C (Thunderbolt) to DVI cable to add a second older Dell monitor to my gaming computer and it worked perfectly. I was even able to connect my Samsung Galaxy to it and it actually brought up my phone screen on the 22" Dell monitor screen. Excellent cable so far.

This week, I ordered another one so I don't have to carry it to office and home, and it did not work
(confirmed by swapping back and forth between old good cable and new bad cable).
Returned for replacement, which arrived THE NEXT DAY (Amazon can be pretty amazing), and this 3rd one worked fine. Two out of 3 isn't bad for the price, since it cost me only 1 day. Of course it can be hard to figure out if it is the display, the computer, or the cable, unless you can swap.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Attaching the dvi to usb-c cable to my M1 Mac Mini causes the screen to split (as per attached photo).
... and, yes, I've tried every fix known on the planet. The cable is fine, I have no doubt. Delivery was great... on time and very fast.
Just so you know, I tried a DVI to HDMI cable next. No split screen is gone, picture is fine but, you get snow upon start-up from sleep.
