Believers Bible Commentary, Second Edition: A Comprehensive Guide to Interpreting Scripture

I use the commentary daily and this has provided great insight into some of the challenging bible passages we as believers are presented with. Amazon Customer: Commentary arrived on time and was in perfect condition. I own an earlier edition of this commentary. In my opinion this is one of the best, if not the best one volume commentary that a person can buy.

Deester: I absolutely love this commentary. I've never had one before and I'm learning a lot about the Bible. It's very interesting and I look forward to reading it each day after my daily Bible reading. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a good commentary. Keep in mind that it's HUGE. It's not something you'd want to haul around. Just leave it at home next to your Bible so it's convenient to pick up if you have a question.

Telebiopic: There are many good things going for this book:
1) thin opaque paper (similar to bible paper) keeps this voluminous book less than you expect. The font size and color is very readable (maybe a 8.5-9 not sure about it exactly).
2) great smyth-sewn binding by Nelson. Nelson publishers have always had a thing about quality.
3) The author and the editor are conservative in their approach. Even though it is a single volume, it has surprisingly elaborate exposition and necessary cultural background info.
4) all the problem verses of the Bible are explained from multiple points of view with the bias towards the literal meaning and inerrancy of the scripture.
5) All possible exodus routes are covered which is just one example of the quality of scholarship
6) I have reason to believe that the Author royalties of this book goes towards evangelical causes.
