R. Solomon: This was the second bed that I bought for my senior dog after she could no longer jump up on the sofa. Of course she liked the first one but after about three washings it was in sad shape. So I ordered this orthopedic bed for her. She went for it immediately! She loved rolling around in it and slept very well.
The problems with soiling the bed became increasingly worse (both urine and feces) as she got closer to the end of her life.
The bottom line is that I had to wash this bed almost every other day the last month or so. It is very well designed with an eggshell foam mattress insert that has its own moisture resistant cover that unzips and allows you to clean that separately. The outer part of the bed also has a zipper so that you can remove the foam mattress and wash the bed/bolster part. Both of the covers were easily washed in my front load washing machine and dryed in the dryer. Once you put it all back together it looks brand new again. I had this about 3 and a half months and it was as good as the day I got it despite many washings. No lumps or bunching. It served her until her last moments and I would highly recommend it.

Prodr: This bed is firm, not soft so our dog doesn't like it. I think he would us it if the surface was soft or thicker fuzz so that it was comfortable to lay in. He lays on it for a short time and then gets up and lays on the carpet. It is not snuggly, soft and or comfy

Kindle Customer: Bought this bed for my dog to lay on after her surgery. Gave it to her a few days before hand to get used to it, and she loves it. I bought a medium as it was the smallest size available so there is plenty of extra space for her to stretch out. The only downside is the material on the top of the bed is extremely thin. In less than 24 hours she had ripped a hole in the side of the bed. Quality could be better for the price, but overall it's not bad.

DDP: Even tho we have had other Bedsure pet beds in the past, I actually ordered another brand of bed for our larger dog. The reason I did was because comments were made in the reviews of this bed that the bolsters were not removable for washing. I received the other brand of bed, let it air out for over two days (as recommended) and it still had a horrible chemical smell! That cannot be good for our furbabies! If I couldn’t lay my head on something and be comfortable I would not expect my furbabies to sleep on it! Needless to say, I returned the stinky bed and ordered this bed in the large plus size. Lesson learned!!! This bed arrived today and I was very pleasantly surprised that the bolsters were packaged separately, as well as the mattress and cover, so it CAN be completely disassembled for washing! And it has absolutely no stinky smell!!! If you are hesitant to order this bed because of reviews stating the cover has to be washed with the bolsters inside, that is absolutely not true! Susan Marie: This bed arrived very neatly packed. I wasn't sure if it would pop into the desired shape as they show. Very pleasantly surprised and happy that it indeed did. I read all the reviews before purchasing, some complaining about the sides being 'droopy,' not happy that it did not look like the pictures shown. Was a bit concerned about that, but, your new pet bed just 'kneads' ... pun intended ... a little tlc to get the desired shape of the sides.

I did just that and it is perfect. I mean, you can't really expect it to form into shape right out of the packaging right? Moochie, my cat, approved it right away, kneading away then.curling up for a nap. I may buy a 2nd one of Chloe Jean, my other sweet cat. (though she has two rounds beds of her own) But how can you resist spoiling our fur babies, right? :)

Julia R.Julia R.: The beds are decent, I like the washable cover and the bolstered edges are ok - they aren’t firm by any means and this bed has gone down in quality since my last purchase years ago. Still, the dogs like them. My biggest complaint is I ordered three, and one is an entirely different shade of grey. Was kind of hoping for matching beds, so it’s really odd that the medium is a lighter grey than the large.

LEWLEW: I got one of these beds to replace my older cat’s bed that was falling apart. Unfortunately my younger cat starting using it instead! So I got another.

SIZING
Small size ended up great for my 10lb cats. They can certainly loaf at one end and then it may look too big for them, but when they lay down and spread out I feel confident that Small was the way to go.

COLOR
I ended up with Dark Green and Washed Blue. The inner fabric is gray on both but the Dark Green has a slightly darker gray. I love the Washed Blue color most and almost got two of them but wanted to make sure I could tell which one was which cat’s. They don’t like to share.

FABRIC
The bed is a type of velvety fabric that will look darker or lighter in spots depending on which way it’s laying. I feel this isn’t really reflected in the product photos but more obvious in customer photos. A plus is that the variation in color means cat hair will be less visible. I have not seen my cats make biscuits on it which to me says it’s not the right softness/fluffiness for them to want to do that. I’ve seen others on Amazon with the soft sherpa fleece fabric that I know they would love to...

MC: My elderly dog loves this bed. The bed is easy for him to get in and out and includes protection from falling out. Customer service was also really good.
