My husband could lock the blade back for a couple times. It took a lot of force and one time he injured his finger with a cut and started bleeding. Machine had a burnt smell when it was only on steam mode. The finishing on the product did not feel like it is a $350 machine. Definitely would not recommend for this price and returning my machine now.

obakir: Used it 5-6 times, so far so good. No rusting or discoloration on the stainless steel parts. Not a recalled item, glass seems heavy and sturdy. You have to handle it carefully. tempered glass can still be damaged without you noticing. They found a couple of solutions for food getting into the handle. There is a blender lid that keeps the food away from the top lid and the handle. Inside the handle they put a custom cut silicon part to seal the opening that lets the food/moisture go into the handle. If you haven’t used a blender in your life before I guess you find it annoying but these machines all work the same way unless you have a commercial grade one. There needs to be enough liquid and solids for the blender to work well. So yes this is not a machine to cook small batch of food. But seriously, how is this a big problem? Just freeze the left overs. I also understand why people have chipped/broken lids. This is the part they could’ve designed better. The action of sealing the lids is a little flimsy. If you force it out of alignment you can break it. But again nothing to hate here. As this is a unique item. You cannot find another item similar to this. By...

I wanted to like it but I HATE it! It was suppose to be a great baby cook made out of sturdy materials , easy to use and clean. But my hopes was destroyed one by one.
First issue I encountered was a corrosion of steaming basket after about a month of light use. Contacted customer service, they mailed replacement in a few weeks.
Then chopping blade that was supposed to be stainless steel and rust proof got bunch of rust . I took care of this machine greatly , all hand wash, no dishwasher , air dried . Contacted customer support and they accused me of cooking something inappropriate there! HELLO, I just cook veggies and some meat there for a baby! They said they will mail the replacement blade but it took them 2 full month to mail it ! How am I suppose to cook food for my baby in a rusty machine?? Customer service is bad and don’t follow up.
From the design point of view this item has many flaws. To name a few:
Anytime you blend food small pieces of food are being trapped in the glass bowl handle where it becomes moldy and spoiled. Yummy!! Again contacted support to show me how to clean it and it’s literally such a pain to take it apart to clean...

Ever since I heard about the heavy metals in baby food I started looking for ways to make my own baby food and I found a couple websites talking about this product and it was made in France and not China so I can trust that the materials used aren’t toxic or low quality. It was a little pricy but man is it worth it to have peace of mind that my baby food is untainted and plastic free. I love using this thing and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for baby food makers.
A little tip- make like 30+ jars of food (buy glass jars) and stash them in the freezer. At night, but 3-4 in the fridge to thaw overnight and when you wake up the food will be thawed and ready to eat the whole day. That way you don’t have to make new food everyday. We do rotations of like 40 jars.

James Zhang: We brought our Beaba baby glass food maker before our baby was born, now he is 8 month old and our beaba after 3month of use one day just exploded during operation, glass bits cut my hand and scattered everywhere! we contacted beaba and it toook them 2 WEEKs to reply us! and we end up with no baby food maker for 2 weeks!!!! then we decide to purchase again since the representative claims that our model exploded because it was a recall. I really like glass and stainless steel options when it comes to baby food making, so here we purchased again on Amazon, checked the model number, not a recall model. but guess what, it broke again !!!!! Please do not purchase this model!!!!! stay safe and try other options.

Mela:
While the simplicity of steaming the food and blending it with one product is great in principle there are other issues that make this product not worth the investment.
Unfortunately the lid does not fit properly leading to spills while blending.
All the different components make it easy for food to settle in-between the plastic and the glass, need to always completely dismantle parts to clean.
White plastic stains.

I had to change/add onto my review because after a few more weeks of using this the plastic around the metal basket started chipping and food particles are getting stuck between the glass bowl and plastic handle. Once the plastic chips in certain areas its hard to get the item aligned for the machine to actually do its thing. I am now going through the warranty and customer service for replacement options.
Very convenient to have the steamer and blender all in one. I love having the glass and stainless steel basket vs plastic. The instructions for water level depending on what you are steaming is so easy, you just fill to one of the three water level setting and push the button, it beeps when done.
I’m happy I got the navy color because I noticed the white cover picked up some of the orange color from the carrot/squash combo I made the other day. I can’t get it off and can’t imagine how annoyed I’d be if the whole machine had stains on it.

PZ: I used this product for both my kids, and the steam and blend features are amazing to make puree blends for the kids. The like the glass container more than the plastic as the plastic over the course of a year began to discolor due to some of the fruits and veggies I was using.
