Amazon Customer: Works as expected. It would be nicer if it was made of metal.

Stephen Smedlund: This is a nice reference to have to determine machine screw sizes and pitches for both SAE and metric. Is also gives the drill size to use when tapping. The one drawback is that it is made of plastic so one has to be careful not to strip the threads in the gauge by trying to screw in an unknown sized screw into the gauge. A stainless steel version would be nice but it would be a lot more expensive.

Yankee Sierra: This gauge works as advertised, but I'm not sure about the long term durability. The gauge is made from relatively soft plastic, which means eventually the thread will get cross threaded from wrong pitch thread.

It would be better if it was made of stronger plastic (maybe something with 30% glass fiber).

Jeffrey J: If you're considering getting one of these, just get it. It's not 1/8 inch stainless, but it's light and inexpensive and I think it will work just fine and last for years. With more and more bolts seemingly being metric these days, this will take the guesswork out of replacing nuts and bolts. I WD-40'd the threads with a rag to make sure the threads were smooth, and I think that may have helped, but they were already very clean. The threads aren't deep because the plate is thin, but I think this will be very usable, and very handy. Just be careful not to force or cross-thread when you're checking. If I needed to use this frequently, I would probably pay for a metal/stainless one, but this is a great value if you aren't checking threads frequently. Very pleased overall. Ordered white, got white.

Darren MacKenzie: For a plastic thread gauge, it's quite sturdy. Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and comes in handy when you need to find replacement bolts for something and don't know the size or thread pitch. Steel may be slightly better (the plastic may break if you force the wrong size through), but isn't worth the extra price point over this plastic version.

RalphaelRalphael: There is only one problem in that I'm not sure whether the screw that I have is metric M6 or 1/4. I wanted wheels for my armchair and I check the screw size of the footies under my chair and ordered some M6 1 inch wheels that supports up to 90 lbs each. I am currently using a 3 wheel dolly for each foot arm of my armchair (5 total) so I also ordered some m6 bolts to secure the dollies (using the footies to secure the dolly at the moment). So either the M6 bolts with dollies OR the M6 1 inch wheels will work on my armchair. This was the only reason that I ordered this Screw Thread Gauge but will keep it for other future projects that needs knowing the screw thread size. I am ecstatic about owning this plastic gauge as it sure beats standing in the Aisle of Home Depot and catching covid. Yes I am weary about it being made of plastic but for the price I cannot complain. Highly recommended for all DIY home users.
