M. Schulman: I’ve used the ones from my doctores office for years and got these because they were cheaper. My doctors packs always had two, a left and a right. These are all designed with the strap for the left foot. They also extend far in front of my toes and the attached end of the strap sticks out. Doesn’t seem to be designed well at all and not usable.

Sue: These are incredible if you have a hammertoe. I hike a lot and these are the only thing I found that holds my toe down so I am totally comfortable in any shoe. I don’t wear heels and never did so I can’t vouch for these to work if you wear heels.

sandra smith: The foot bed is not cushioned. It makes walking uncomfortable. Also doesn't fit all shoe sizes. I couldn't get any relief with this hammer toe support.

Avid reader: I had mild hammer toes for years, and was using stretching exercises to keep the tendon stretched. On my one foot, they seemed to self correct. On the other, the tendons ‘decided’ to really contract, and I got two toes that made wearing shoes very difficult. I tried several things, but as the joint distance is short, they really wouldn’t fit properly over the joint, either not staying in place at all, or slipping off. I decided I needed a strap over the joint, and a ‘baseplate’ under the toe to keep everything aligned. One can really stretch these tight over the joint, so one has to be careful not to cut off circulation. Besides, as in all things with the body, take things slowly but methodically. One wants the strap snug, but not painful. I wear a bandage over the toe joint, as it had gotten rubbed raw. Then I put the strap in place. I cannot wear it with a shoe, since my feet are extremely narrow and with the placement, it sticks out too far forward. I didn’t want to cut it. I leave it on for several hours per day, and it seems to be making a difference. With the strap in place, the toe seems fairly flat against the base although it...

Elaine Creeden: This device is by far the most effective device I’ve found to straighten hammer toes. I’ve tried several different devices, all were cheap and ineffective. This device pulls the hammer toe down and straightens it,you can feel the tendon that pulls the toe start to relax. It’s taken decades for the hammer toe to form so I don’t expect it will be fixed in a short time.the only drawback that I’ve found is the flat part of the device reaches out beyond the toes and makes it difficult to wear socks or shoes but the part beyond the toes can be trimmed off. Hopefully the manufacturer will make an adjustment for future models.
