BAK Revolver X4 Hard Rolling Truck Bed Tonneau Cover for Maximum Security and Protection

MikeMike: This tonneau cover is a great price and I like how it rolls up not blocking the rear window and gives you pretty much full access to the bed. I was disappointed though that the one bed rail was damaged a little upon arrival. Installation was fairly easy. The fit is pretty good but it seems to fit tighter at the tailgate on the passenger side then the driver’s side. Parts Jungle was great to deal with and addressed the slightly damaged rail quickly. I am totally satisfied.

TimTim: I waited to post this review after having the cover on for a few months and multiple weather conditions.

Ease of installation- A breeze! From out of the box to installed including minor adjustments made along the way, took me by myself 1.5 hrs tops. There is a great step-by-step tutorial on YouTube that I used which helped immensely. Pro tip, if you are installing on a 2020 GMC Sierra with the collapsing grab bar in the bed, you don't need to remove it! The cover rails won't interfere with it and it can still be used!

Weathering the weather- The weather stripping along the side rails was wavy when first installed, but like many other reviews I read this "healed" itself over a few warm days in the sun and now lays flat. The cover has had a few inches (3-4inches) with no deflection or sag. Very little water (either from rain or car washes) finds its way into the bed, mostly near the tailgate which makes sense because there are 2 areas where the weather stripping don't overlap, or even meet, leaving a void. You will see why when you install yours. But 95% of the bed stays dry.

Overall, this tonneau cover met all of my expectations. 5/5 stars, highly recommend.

trinaise abbott: I wanted a truck bed cover that would allow me to carry a motorcycle in the back of the truck without blocking my view out the back window like the tri-fold tops do. This solution was perfect! It's very heavy duty like a roll-up garage door! It was relatively simple to install and it fits like a glove. The quality is great the fitment is good it locks closed solidly and when rolled up and secured in the open position I can put a motorcycle in the back and the front tire touches the back of the truck bed solidly and I maintain my visibility out the back window so I can check the load and make sure everything is okay while driving.

Cane2004: Install was a piece of cake. Everything fit just as it should. Approx 1hr. Instead of using a hair drier to flatten the seals I opted for direct sunlight for a day. Seals flattened out just fine, but one of the seals next to the tailgate was coming off from the heat. Also, the insignia was loose and looking like it will fall off eventually.
I think overall it's a nice bed cover. Maybe a bit overpriced. The adhesive they use is easily loosened by heat, so I'm curious how everything holds up over time.

Mike E: The cover fits and looks great. The rolling cover is easy to open and close. The locking feature on the cover seems robust and secure. With the cover rolled up you have access to nearly the entire truck bed.
I made the initial mistake of ordering the cover without paying attention to the note "W/O CarbonPro Bed". The standard hardware provided wouldn't work on the carbon fiber bed. I found a shop in Michigan who makes special mounting brackets specifically for this cover. They work great and got me out of a jam. They come in a set of 10 brackets and didn't require any modifications to the truck bed. Highly recommend MWW1.com if you want to use this cover with a CarbonPro bed.

ZGrayZGray: Looks awesome, keep rails lubricated during winter to stop freezing in winter issue you will find online. Had to install a little different then the instructions stated to get best tailgate seal. 400 lbs even weight on top max seems a bit exaggerated unless it was sitting on the bed rails. Love how every slat is locked in place and you would have a very hard time using the coat hanger trick to open this tonneau as the tailgate seal is in the way. I was nervous when I first installed this tonneau following the instructions provided, but after adjusting the tonneau and rails further back I am very happy with it overall, you can easily open and close the tonneau with one hand. The only thing I’m still not overly sold on it the clips and straps that hold the rolled up tonneau in place while driving, seems a little awkward but it does hold it in place with little movement. On the 6’7” bed, you still have 40% of the rear window open to see out of if you roll it up right, and and if you roll it up looser you can get about 60% as it sits flatter on the bed

DickDick: I conducted a lot of research on tonneau covers for my truck, and finally narrowed it down to BAK Industries' X4 Revolver Rolling Truck bed cover for my 2019 Chevy Silverado (new body style).

Installation:
Was straight forward and easy, especially after watching a few installation videos and using the included installation instructions as a quick reference guide. I did end up having to shim the rails towards the front of the truck in order to get them both properly squared up, but once I did that, everything else fell into place nicely.

Quality:
Well designed/made, and the quality seems good so far, but we'll just have to see how it holds up over the years.

Usability:
Easy to unlatch and roll towards the cab and strap down, allowing for larger loads that extend above the sides of the bed. Also easy to roll back into place and latch/lock into place. Another bonus is with this model, compared to the flip/folding covers, is you can open/close the tail gate when the cover is latched/locked into place. This is especially nice if you have the automatic/easy close tailgate.

Initially I was going to get the cover that is hinged at...
