Phil: You will laugh no matter what your age unless you have a hole in your soul or are a sociopath. A very good series if you have children and cat or two. A good book also if you have grandkids.

Kukaakatchou: Absolutely wonderful! Lots of humor for kids with some sly digs that parents will appreciate! A funny story and a lot of interesting facts about cats.

Susan Kite: This is the first of the Bad Kitty chapter books and it is wonderful! It may not go through the alphabet as in the previous picture books, but Bad Kitty is still the master of mayhem and mischief. Bad Kitty and Poor Puppy make a complete mess of the house and themselves and now it's time for the kitty's bath. But how do you get a feline as contrary as kitty to get into the bathtub? That is what makes this book such a romp. Not only is there the misadventure of trying to get the cat in the bath, but there are several sections of nifty facts about cats as explained by a new character named Uncle Murray. This book is a must read.

Amazon Customer: These books are amazing. My son has had a difficult time in school because his reading skills weren't were they needed to be. I ordered the Bad Kitty books hoping to get him interesting (he absolutely loves cats) in reading. He comes home from school and reads out loud for 20 minutes every day. Before the Bad Kitty books, he would close the book as soon as the timer went off, even if he was in mid-sentence. Now, when the timer goes off, he keeps reading. He can't stop talking about the story when he's done reading. He started with Bad Kitty gets a bath. Listening to him giggle as he was reading was so wonderful. He finished his second Bad Kitty book today. He was so excited. I'm so excited. Because of these books, my son is reading at the level he should be, and he's not just reading the words, he's comprehending the story. He laughs in all the right places and can re-tell the story. My only complaint is that there aren't more books. Nick Bruel is amazing and I am so thrilled I found him.

Jessica Wheeler: My younger daughter is right at what I feel is the most difficult phase in learning to read. The easy books that are perfectly at her level are way too boring, and the more interesting books, i.e. the ones her older sister is reading, are way too hard. But, we recently discovered an absolute gem in Bad Kitty Gets a Bath by Nick Bruel.
We first met Bad Kitty a few years ago with the original alphabet book about a kitty forced to eat healthy vegetables. It starts, "She wasn't always a bad kitty. She used to be a good kitty, until one day...." You get the idea. Its good - one of those picture books I'm still happy to pick up because it is perfectly silly with humor that both kids and adults find funny. As opposed to say, Amelia Bedelia.
Now Bad Kitty is back in a chapter book and she needs a bath. The drawings are plentiful and expressive, and the pacing of the book is perfect for a 1st grader bored with Nate the Great but not quite ready for Geronimo Stilton. Some pages are a little more difficult with a lot of text, but then some pages have only a couple of lines or even just one word, such as "LICK" or "BATH". There are some difficult words in the book, but it is so...

MamainNYC: Most of the wonderful Bad Kitty series can probably only be read 1-2 times, but this one is just so hilarious that it can be revisited every few months. Marvelous and laugh-out-loud funny even for adults.
