Easy to use, well marked controls (I'm 67 and I figured it out quickly!). Radio has good fidelity but only picks up FM. Radio scans all stations (normally only have to scan once) then automatically saves the strongest 40, you then use Up/Down arrows to select desired station from list (can also be set to specific station if too weak). 2 alarms, can use either buzzer or radio. Nice, thorough instruction pamphlet. The only weak feature was the USB charger port seemed wimpy. Overall, a great clock radio, especially if you get a coupon deal for under $20 like I did!

Robert Bartlett: I got this for myself because I liked a couple of features of other clocks.. and this had them all.

It's got a weekend setting, which really comes in handy. It sets your alarm (either or both) to NOT go off on weekends. For those of us who don't work on weekends... that is a must.

This is not your typical LED clock though, it actually uses a display, so it can show much more information on it. That can be good... and bad. For a clock... the right hand side of it can get kinda busy, and if you wear glasses, you may find that without them, you can't read that stuff. Fortunately, the main CLOCK info, the time, is big and readable.

I have two gripes about this clock though.

Because there aren't dedicated buttons for certain functions, you HAVE to keep the little manual/user guide handy. You will need it to do some things that you don't do often.

Next, there is no way to LOCK the buttons, to prevent unintended setting changes. If you knock this clock accidentally off of your nightstand, and grab it... you WILL press a button. And when you do that, you can change all sorts of things, but namely it's possible to just turn off...

Private: EDITED TO 1 STAR - Alarm didn't go off this morning. It is set, and I checked it after waking up. So not only is it a pain to set the alarm, it's unreliable. Alarm clocks have a requirement to work 100% of the time. This has failed once out of 20 morning wake ups. NO I don't want a replacement. And I can't return it as I don't have the box it came in. It's going in the landfill.

Some of the icons are TINY and very hard to make out what they are. Alarm setup is tedious, and you have to rely on the TINY icons to know it's setup correctly or you WILL NOT BE WOKEN UP. Make sure you read the many page instruction booklet and keep it handy. This is not a simple alarm clock like the one you might be replacing.

Randy S: I had no idea how frequently I looked at he digital clocks on my decade old cable TV boxes until I recently got rid of all of them. Never mind there were plenty of other ways to tell the time, I needed a replacement. This economical gadget was the perfect solution. Clear display and a variety of brightness and color selections. It also displays 24 hour time which is my preference. Cheaper than many digital clocks alone it adds a FM radio with antenna which I have set to a news/weather station in case of severe weather. I tested and the radio will work even if the power is off (just be sure to install batteries). Can’t say how long it will operate but enough to get past a tornado warning I’m sure. I am going to order another one for the guest bedroom!

Ice Cream Man: It’s not that difficult to use, like some of these other reviews say it is. I’m nearly 50yo and I had it out of the box with the time set in less than 5 minutes, just by looking at one instruction page. I like the display’s matte background and choices of color and brightness for the digits. I also like the large display in such a small footprint. The radio’s sound is crap of course (think 1970’s handheld transistor radio), but you must know that already. I mean, for the price you’re not getting a thumping stereo. I expected that going in, so I have no complaints. I’ve had it for a week and so far so good.

Update after 1 year: Still going strong and still love it!
