Jennifer JanesJennifer Janes: So, very disappointed and I don't know how or why. Look at the picture... the glass on the left was how they both looked when I opened the box (gross). The box came bubble wrapped and taped closed, so how did they get go filthy? Used? Crappy manufacturer quality control? Magic dust/dirt?
If you buy this as a gift, open it up and clean all parts thoroughly.
The coasters are made of cork, as I suspected. Don't expect them to last a lot of uses and wash them very carefully when you do.
In the end, as long as you clean it first, it will make for a good gift for someone who likes a good drink... not just whiskey.

April: Well made case, good presentation. The glass had a fingerprint on it so not sure who touched it before. Clean well before use.
