Altmed: A must add for good Mac and cheese, casseroles, etc.
Tastes great! Be sure to add some butter and cream (both available in dry products, or fresh.)
Great shelf life!
Comes resealable, but I put in canning jars with moisture absorbers to keep fresh.
Awesome for those who live alone, or couples, who don't want to run to the store every few says to get fresh cheese, as this stays good even after a long time.

iupbratiupbrat: I've used this brand before and have never had an issue. But this time the can is dented and the lid is also damaged. Per instructions the lid needs to seal in order to maintain the reliability of the product. I also have concerns with opening this with a can opener. From experience I know that a hand can opener won't work neither will an electric opener so requested a replacement that was granted mediately. Still love the brand and fully trust the quality

JJares: This is another Augason Farms purchase for SHTF storage. Every time I do into the grocery store, the prices rise. I decided it was time to get a storage supply of food items rising locally. I'm creating a stockpile of shelf-stable food items for future use.  We moved from a location that had lots of hurricanes and so I'm used to stockpiling for weather incidents. However, now I'm stocking up to avoid price surges that are anticipated this fall and winter.

Although I have not opened this can, I'm giving the product five stars because the cans arrive in perfect shape and Augason Farms offers frequent sales to help my money go further. I know this cheese product will not taste exactly like refrigerated cheese, but when things happen, having a taste of cheese on food could make all the difference.

Manitoba Mom: We add this to cHeese sauces and pasta. It adds a nice cheese flavour and hydrates very well - a little goes a long way. Add it to a sauce and wait a bit and it will thicken up really nicely. I buy it when it’s on sale. It never goes bad.

Precise Disarray: I buy Augason products when they are on sale. Been doing this on and off for a few years now. Always been a bit of a "prepper", since I was a toddler it seems, haha (In my 40s now). I has served me well through power outages, sicknesses, unemployment, and even bigger stuff like the pandemic, and now... *vaguely gestures around* everything else that is going on. I've never been one to be without when anything has come up. I never did "emergency food" if only because I didnt have the budget. I would stick with typical foods and try to store them well. Well now I have a little more wiggle room in my budget, and with the on and off sales of long term storage (20+ years), I take advantage when I can. I remember buying some Augason eggs back in 2019 for $19. Today? $33-56 for same container, depending on the day.

And so, I haven't opened this 3lbs 4 ounce container of cheese blend powder.. sorry. I dont intend to any time soon. But I wanted to shore up my options. Having some soups and such just adds flavor to other options used. I can add more veg, or a protein, or beans, or simply have some bread to dip into it. Or I can use as way to flavor something. I have a slew of reviews...

KH: I like the product and it comes in a big enough size for the price. Easy to make following the directions on the can. My only complaint is the relatively mild cheese flavour.

I MAKE AWESOME KETTLE CORN I WILL ADMIT, THIS CHEESE POWDER TOPS IT WELL, I TRIED CHEESE SAUCE 1/4 CUP POWDER AND SOME WATER TO DEGLAZE MY FRYING PAN AFTER BROWNING SOME BRATWURST OMG MIXED/MADE XHEESE SAUCE WITH THE PAN DRIPPINGS OMG SO VERSITILE I LOVE IT AND I LOVE CHEESE AND RICE:) THIS POWDER ADDED WHILE COOKING RICE, FINAL PRODUCT EXCEPT FOR THE TYPICAL STRINGINGY OF CHEESE, STILL PUDDLED CHEESE PUDDLES ON TOP OF RICE AND TASTED GREAT, I WILL BE BACK FOR MORE FOR SURE WHEN THE NEED ARISES UNTIL THEN, I WOULD DEFINATELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR CHEESEHEADS IT'S DIFFERENT, AND YUMMY AND SATISFYING :)
