Amazon Customer: I bought this for my 8yo and he loved the witty wording. It's not for beginners or kids who don't understand basics of physics. Over all this was great for my son as he already has an understanding of these subjects.

rahul g.: This book covers a lot of stuff like: how the universe was created (big bang),dark energy, dark matter and most importantly the cosmic perspective. It is a very good book about the cosmos that I would personally recommend to any young people interested in space. This book is also written by one of the best astrophysicists in the world, Neil DeGrasse Tyson so most of the information in the book comes from an expert in the simplest way possible. I hope you enjoy it !!!

Lauren: Bought this to read to both my 11 and 9 year old children. So far have read through it with my 11yo. She had been asking a lot of questions about the big bang and the universe and this was a perfect book. Brought up a lot MORE questions for her which was fun. I would say there are a lot of big words and concepts, even if talked about in a child-friendly way, and is definitely a good book to read WITH your kiddos. I think I learned a lot too!

TS: this book has answers to all. From the basics of physics to big questions about the nature of space and time, celebrated astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson break down the mysteries of the cosmos into bite-sized pieces. Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry describes the fundamental rules and unknowns of our universe clearly—and with Tyson’s characteristic wit, there’s a lot of fun thrown in, too.
Very cool informations that you can share and impress anyone. This adaptation by Gregory Mone includes full-colour photos, infographics, and extra explanations to make even the trickiest concepts accessible. Building on the wonder inspired by outer space, Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry introduces an exciting field and the principles of scientific inquiry to young readers.

pony: Neil deGrasse Tyson brings his signature enthusiasm and passion for the cosmos to the written page, embracing “young” readers of ALL ages with an invitation to join him on this magnificent journey. As an added bonus, the texture of the book cover is just a pure pleasure to hold in your hands. Keep looking up - but first, order this book to learn what you’re looking at.
