Jenna Helfer: used these undies for postpartum, they are super soft and comfy. they are a little thick which i don’t mind but if you want something more breathable and good for postpartum with pads and all i recommend women’s briefs! they are basically the reusable version of the disposable undies they give you in the hospital lol

Rebecca: I rotate my underwear (as in, newly washed pairs get put at the bottom of the drawer) so that every pair gets worn equally, but it’s bad that I always look forward to the grey pairs because they have a more generous cut than the others. I think purple is the worst offender for being the least generous cut and being the least having, with blue a close second.
Also, both red pairs grew a small hole in the seam at the back of the gusset pretty quickly after I bought these, but thankfully the holes do not seem to want to get bigger. None of the other colors have done this, so I’m guessing that the two red pairs were stitched in succession and done inadequately. This would also explain why the holes haven’t grown much, if at all, as they’re not from a tear or run in the fabric.
If I could buy just grey pairs, I would. I’ve been tempted to try other colors, but I am afraid those will be even worse.
All that said, these are relatively comfortable cotton underwear. They’re not thin like the Hanes stuff you buy nowadays, and I haven’t had any other issues over the past six months that I’ve had these (and have worn them every day).

Toni: The crotch area inside is a light grey- not ideal for that time of the month!

Precise Disarray: The sizing is pretty good. Take close look at the large graphic mid page (slightly different than the image in their photo section. The former appears more accurate!!). If you are closer to the smaller end of a size range, then I think you can safely down size. I bought these in 4XL. Which is slated to fit up to 52.5" hips, and I quickly measured the largest area of my hips which is 53". There is plenty of room to spare (but aren't baggy, either). I am glad I did not go with the 5XL (52"-56") as that definitely would have been much too large. As is, the 4XL is almost too big. But they do fit rather well, so with my 53" hips, I think the 4XL is reasonable. Even so, I MAY try 3XL. (47"-50.5"). Much of my hip girth comes from a belly apron- lots of excess skin. I tend to wear underwear and pants with compression not so much for improving look, but for improving feel. The loose skin needs to be tied down so it isn't uncomfortably moving. I usually buy briefs (size 18/20, $7 each) from Lane Bryant that have 93% cotton, 7% spandex. These undies have 95% cotton, 5% spandex. I can tell the difference in fit.
Just plain cotton can be stretchy, but doesn't hold shape- will often...
